Slashes are a bad part of the game but they happen in every game and the NHL simply never hands out 5 and a game for them like the hits from behind on the boards. If Subban was out there running guys from behind sure you take him out before he injures someone's brain but this ejection thing for slashing is a little over the top unless it's a new league mandate and they are going to be consistent calling hard slashes as majors and misconducts. The fact that this never happens and it happened to Subban of all players kind of falls into the hands of the conspiracy theorists that think there is prejudice against him. This isn't my opinion of course but it certainly fuels that fire.

Stone was probably watching the intermission and so pulled himself to make the injury more believable.
It's like a storyline from the WWF.

Last i checked a slash that causes injury is a mandatory 5 and a game. Warming or not. Imo that's a suspension worthy slash. Two hand tomahawk on a guy without the puck. What can it be other then intent to injure.

His arm is probably broken, not his wrist, which is why he tried to play again, but once he leaned on it, that was it for the arm.

Looks like he has left the game for x-rays. He wasn't embellishing anything most people would go down the way he did if they got slashed like that

The only thing that's laughable are the select few here who feel the need to immediately leap to conclusions they have know way of knowing and the smug air of false certainty in their tones when talking about it.

I agree, but when you come back to the game right away I think it's absolutely fair to question if he embellished.

Why wouldn't they do X-rays during the intermission? I don't understand why the trainers wouldn't use the time to look at him more.
Edit: not a conspiracy theory, just genuinely wonder why they wouldn't use the intermission to look at him from all angles.

Play didn't even resume for at least 3 minutes...
The first goal came 3 game minutes after that...fairly certain he wasn't back on until after that (if not the 2nd or 3rd goal)

I would think Subban only gets suspended if Stone misses the series. If he's back for game 2, suspending Subban is a bit much.

I wasn't following closely but didn't he leave the game the second time after an awkward hit?

At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious here, I would like to take the time to point out that Karlsson is absolutely awful in his own end...
