I would hope so. It's a substantially higher population base to draw from. I would be pretty concerned if they were not producing more NHLers than a city with a far lower population.

My buddy and I bought tickets to all the games in Vancouver so we could pick the one that works best for us date-wise. We're going to Fridays game as it requires the least time off.
We assumed that selling the tickets would be pretty easy. That was a huge mistake. The good news for us is once we dropped it to below face and now that it's day of, we're seeing a bit more interest.
Got 3 offers so far but we prefer to sell it to a Flames fan on here

Not saying that this is wrong, but I'd be interested to see this stat because I wouldn't be so sure. Particularly after taking population into account.

That's untrue. Alberta has more nhl players by province of birth than BC despite a lower population.

Are we sure? Did the tickets sell out before those?

Game #1 at Rogers Arena is not sold-out yet. As of about an hour ago there was still just over a 100 tickets available. #NHLPlayoffs

I've had a very difficult time even generating some good trash talk with friends. They just don't care... kind of disappointing.

well Calgary does not have this problem. Nose bleeds going for 250 / ticket on average and 2nd level usually ~700 for a pair

The only trash talk I've gotten is from my boss. She saw my shirt and said "You're a Flames fan? You know they're going to lose tonight right?". Only one person here is wearing a Canucks jersey and he hasn't said anything. And I overheard another co-worker say to him "The game is tonight?" and then talk about the "goalie controversy" with starting Lack.

Yikes, might be easier/cheaper to go to Van on the JumpOn deal.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I drove from downtown to North Van and back with my Flames flags on the car. Did not get any reaction whatsoever. Also did not see one single piece of Canuck merch.
Aside from 3 co-workers, (out of 130 or so) no one is talking any trash at all. I actually discovered 3 co-workers hate the Canucks (real hockey fans too).
Let's take over Rogers Arena , CPers! We may not have the numbers, but we have the passion!

I was comparing Vancouver to Calgary, not B.C. to Alberta.

Eric Francis was saying on the radio that the Canucks were heavily advertising for 2015-16 season tickets at the game last night. He then noted that Calgary's wait list is still over 3,000.

Bought two tickets yesterday to Friday's game for $180 bucks each, all fees in, 9 rows up from the ice.
Don't know stadium, but assuming they have to be good seats.
After reading this thread, little scared of wearing my red
