Actually cool story bro, but my favorite place all time to watch Flames games in Calgary was the old Anju. They had a TV upstairs, with 2 bar stools that were always available, and some of the best food in town.

But ya, these days you don't watch a Flames game at a sushi restaurant. Although that maybe the only place you're going to get a seat.

If your in the south end of the city try the new Halo lounge and restaurant. Stopped in there to watch Flames/Jets last Sat with a few buddies. Food is really good, lots of TV's (with audio). They have happy hour pricing during all playoff games. Ask for Chris (tell him your a CP member) and you will get 2 for 1 appys during flames games.

The fact that no bar has jumped on to CP for an official endorsement is baffling

There are really no great sports bars in the core that offer a great game-viewing experience.

I'm told the Friday Hitmen game is early (6pm) and that fans will be invited to stay in the Dome and watch the Flames after on the big screen?

Was at National early on yesterday. Got there at 7. They had standing room only. They said we can go eat in the patio and come back in for the game at 8. We did that, following which they told us they have no more room. We had confirmed that we would be able to come in from the patio at 8. They said, yeah, our numbers will be acommodated

Was so disappointed. Ended up going to schanks south. The place was rocking, except ended up missing a big chunk of the first period

If we make it deep into May, the idea of watching a Flames game at National Patio on 8th Ave on a warm night makes me cry tears of joy!

From what I remember, yes they do. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to set up some projectors either.

I got to The Pint yesterday at about 4:30. By about 5:30-6 I would say all the tables were full and by game time, you couldnt move because there were so many people just standing there to watch. When Jones and Russell scored, that place POPPED!

Also, they have fantastic wings there

FYP. The Pint has the worst food ever. It's inedible. Service is pretty bad as well, especially when it gets busy.

Food is pretty bad, service is worse, and on the weekends the clientele is even worse somehow. Don't know how they managed to create a bar that caters to Calgary's transient population.

I heard from a guy that his friends staked out a stable pretty early on Wednesday and then were asked to leave around 7:30 because a reservation. Pretty crappy by the establishment if you ask me. Long story short if you stake out a table I would double check to make sure you won't get the boot considering how crazy everything is right now.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. want to find somewhere downtown but may have to stay away from the main ones (17th is out for sure).
