Windows 10
Anyone else using the technical preview?
I have it on my surface since I only browse and use office on this. I am very impressed so far. It seems so much better than windows 8 yet also a real nice step forward from windows 7 without being jarring.
The expanded start menu is also beautiful. Not jarring at all since it shows everything you're working on.
Cant wait for the final build so I can put it on my desktop

I actually was looking to resurrect an old 2008 netbook with a linux OS to lower the requirements. Opted for the Windows 10 preview and works great on a system with baseline requirements (albeit a little slow still, but it was like that with XP anyways).
The system is coming out for cross-device synchronization as well. My Windows Phone is getting Windows 10 as well next week, can't wait!
Remember - those who have Windows 7 and 8, you will be able to upgrade to 10 for free (for the first year, at least).

I've been on the daily builds internally, and aside from the odd bad build we've had to deal with as canaries, I've been really happy with it. The inking capability on Project Spartan is really bad-ass. It's available now for users in the 'fast' ring of the Windows Insider program, build 10049.

Using it on an oldish laptop, defiantly a work in progress.

Any idea if windows 10 plays nice dual booting another windows install? Also, how is it without touch interface? Windows 8 didn't feel like it played nice without a touch interface at times. I am considering a Caddy kit in my laptop (no touch screen) to dual boot 7 and 10 until I'm certain I'm happy with it.

I use it without touch screen. Definitely easier than 8.1 is.

Been running the tech preview since launch. I have to say I am extremely pleased with it. Quick, looks good. This is what 8 should have been. It'll be a game changer for Microsoft, I honestly think that

Is anyone using it with the touch screen?

Surface Pro 1? Because the Surface RT won't run it.

I have been running it for awhile now on my laptop and don't mind it. I have issues with wifi disconnecting ever few days but other than that it is quite good.

If I'm one of the 2 people that liked Windows 8, am I going to be disappointed?

For some reason now I cannot change any of my network settings. All I want to do is go in and take DHCP off and manual enter a IP address but if I click on "ethernet" under Open Network and Sharing Center nothing happens and if I try and open the properties I just get an error. Anybody else experience anything like this or know how to get around it?

Remove NIC from Device Manager (remove driver as well, make sure you have an up-to-date driver downloaded already) and then let the PC detect the NIC and reinstall it.

Thank god its not just me!! My Lumia 1020 couldn't wake up after going into the lock screen mode, I have to reset it every time. Windows 10 is still extremely buggy and I'd be surprised if they release it in full before the end of the year, even if they announced this summer is the release date.
