Or you could come up with something actually clever and funny that doesn't imply that being female is a bad thing.

Just a thought.

2 girls no cup references an old internet joke. Nothing to do with implying women are inferior.

It doesn't work if you use 2 boys/brothers.

We all get the reference. But the whole joke is that you are saying Sedins are girls. With no cups.

I'm not as sensitive about it as some, but it's still saying they are girlish.

I know what the reference is to. The point of the reference is to call the Sedins girls, thereby implying they are inferior. That is the purpose of any jab that feminizes the opponent. No different than calling them the sisters. As I said earlier, it'd be nice if there was less of that in hockey and this is a chance to come up with some new, actually funny trash talk.

Anyway, on actual hockey matters...

1. I'm seeing that Flames practice has Bennett skating in Raymond's spot. Possible that Bennett starts game 1.
2. On the other side, Brad Richardson is present at Canucks practice, and may end up playing as well. Still no Kassian for them.

If you think it implies females are inferior, then that's your personal issue. There is nothing in the statement that says (or implies) such.

Stop being such a nancy.

There is absolutely no other implication there and it has nothing to do with me. Again, any jab that feminizes an opponent is inherently sexist. There's no way around that.

Your inability to recognize the issue, in contrast, does say something about you personally.

EDIT: Oh, and green text or no, "nancy" or "nancy-boy" is basically the same thing but instead of using imputed gender to denigrate you're using sexual orientation. Might as well have called me a queer.

If the original joke was between two guys (barf) then the new joke of "Sedins, two guys, no cup" would be just as applicable and just as disgusting.

Therefore I say again that it's not sexist, nor does it imply anything to do with one group being inferior to the other.

And I'm finished with the topic for good.

I see where Corsi is coming from.

The joke only makes sense if you think that calling the Sedins girls makes sense. The only reason you'd call the Sedins girls is to imply that their lower than men.

Personally, I don't care but I see where he is coming from. Actually, in the NHL, being called a girl is a definite "lower status" than a man as a girl would not be able to play any where near the level required. This is proven by the best female players in the world playing 15 year old boys for training.

Didn't they lead the league in bench minors? Probably should have learned how to change before the season started.

Everyone must mentally prepare themselves for endless amounts of whining from the Vancouver media, fans, and just people in Vancouver in general.

Without a doubt there will be an "officiating bias", specifically watch out for Burrows being the "victim" of being on the wrong side of penalties, as he has been "black listed" by the NHL referees.

Perhaps an important Canucks goal will be correctly disallowed and that will definitely get the tin foil hat Canuck crowd in a tizzy.

Just know that its gonna get ugly guys.

Yup bout 32 minutes in bench minors which is about 6 more minutes than the Hawks...

So is it the new players or the coaches? that is twice as many as they had the year before

Any idea if the flames will be doing a pregame party on Sunday?

Just trying to plan out logistics if I get tickets to the game / with expo going on it'll be a nightmare getting into stampede.

Probably because they're a lot looser with those rules in Junior.
