It has nothing to do with hating Sutter or income demographics, Sutter is a demanding coach and if you're in LA, you've won 2 cups and you're sitting on a fat paycheque you probably want to slack off a little and we all know that Sutter wouldnt stand for that.
Its the nature of the business, Sutter wants the best all the time and no one wants to give their best all the time. People tend to be conditioned to do just as much as they have to to get by.
He wrung every bit of excellence out of that team, but over time that gets draining.

DL says NY post is "factually inaccurate," and that the dispute between players, coaches happened in Tampa.

so factually inaccurate meaning the place but not the incident?
I think people cared more about the one of those that turned out to be true Dean

I'm confused... didn't the Kings sweep the season series with Tampa in the midst of their 8 game win streak?
If that's the case, then there really isn't an issue.

If that's the case, these Kings are becoming less and less likeable as time goes by.

Yeah, weird. They played the Lightning within 9 days of each other too.
The first time they had lost 7 of 8 games before beating the Lightning, they were doing really poorly so even after a win, or maybe because it was finally a win, it does make some sense to hold a player-only meeting. They went on an 8 game winning streak after that game that also included the other Lightning game. So if they locked the door after the first game, it worked.
Of course that doesn't match up at all to Larry Brooks story, outside of the locking the room.

I remembered watching something on TV a few weeks ago. I think it was on either Sportsnet or TSN and it was documentary about the Kings and the Sharks. When LA was losing on the road games that the players had a player's meeting only. No coaches are allowed. If this is the one Larry Brooks then he is reading too much of it. Most teams when they struggled, the leaders on the group will call a player's meeting only. That is pretty much a norm. I guess Brooks is making this an issue.

Warrener - again?!? Isn't this the same Warrener that Feaster was referring to a while back - the smoking gun aka the guy in basement wearing nothing but his underwear and posting all the rumors about Iggy and the Flames? The way Sutter treated him like a franchise defenceman, I just think this guy's a fool who's trying to find attention.

Kings general manager Dean Lombardi was asked today about yesterday’s New York Post report that Kings players locked Coach Darryl Sutter out of the team locker room during a recent road game. Here’s what Lombardi said…
LOMBARDI: ''It’s factually inaccurate. The timing is wrong. It happened in Tampa, not last week.’’
(on whether players actually blocked the door with garbage cans…)
LOMBARDI: ''I don’t know if it got that far. It happened in Tampa. This was just brought to my attention yesterday, in terms of that part [the garbage cans]. So I guess it’s fair to say there was a little scuffle in Tampa.''
(on whether he is troubled by the story…)
LOMBARDI: ''No, and here’s why. I could look at it and say, `That’s when we won eight in a row, so let’s do this more often.’ In terms of what actually happened, maybe (players) don’t have to go to that extreme, but theoretically I don’t have a problem with it. Here’s the thing, with where this team has to get to. If you look at what a coach’s number-one role is, it’s to give his team structure and detail. The emotion, in terms of getting that emotion to where it needs to be, if we’re going to be a top team it has to come from within the room. With it, at times, the coach obviously still has to have some ability (to talk). So we’re, at times, a part of raising the emotion. Obviously one of the problems this year was just that, that for whatever reason, we weren’t where we needed to be mentally.
''That said, I don’t know if I like the way it happened, but if you look at great teams, the perfect example is Derek Jeter. When Joe Torre was ready to blow or something, Jeter would walk in the room and go, `Whoa, whoa, whoa, I got this one. Stay out, and don’t be losing it.’ You see this with top players all the time. The players, essentially, you want (to be) in charge of your room. Maybe the way to do it was, `We don’t need to hear from you now. We got it,’ and go out and get it done. Maybe you don’t have to go to that extreme. But the point is, what happened there, that’s what needs to happen. The players need to take over the room emotionally, and if they want to go in there and say, `Coach, stay out, I’ve got this one. We know how to win,’ I’ve got no problem with that. Again, you maybe don’t want to do it with garbage cans. But if we’re going to be a top team, your best players have to take over the emotion of your room. At times, that might require them to say, `Coach, I got this one.’ There are enough players in that room who have won. The problem you would have had before is credibility. When Jeter tells Torre, `I’ve got this one, stay out,’ well you better listen to that guy. He’s won four championships. There’s guys in there now with two championships. They’re qualified to do that now. You might not have said that four years ago: `Hey, no, you’re not ready for this.’ But they’re ready for that. They know where they’ve got to be.
''So the irony is, that’s essentially what you want to happen, your players take over your room and, `Stay out, coach. I don’t want to hear from you. We got it. Stay out.’ Because they know way more than we (coaches and management) do. You usually get more involved when they don’t know how to win. But they’ve been there. So that’s the way I look at it. In terms of trash cans or whatever, I’m not sure you have to send a message that way, but you look at the top players and they say, `We’ve got this one,’ and they go out and get it done. The irony is, it happened and then we went on one of our best streaks. [laughs]’’

Did I say everyone, just find it funny how he really irks the white collars that look down on him.
Wasn't referring to CP nor painting with the "everyone" brush, just pointing out that he really does bring out the worst (bitterness) of the white collar types and I really have no clue why.

There are rumblings about trading a player and it will surprise 29 other fan bases. Some players have a bigger problem with Sutter than others. Hate is the wrong word. This isn't new. They won the cup last year with the same level of unhappiness with Sutter's technique. At this time Sutter isn't going anywhere.
The room incident wasn't nearly as dramatic as it is being portrayed. I'm wondering who Brooks got his information from. Obviously someone who knew something about it. Either his source or himself took liberties making the story more interesting.

I probably should have said "anyone" instead of "everyone". It just sounds a bit like you are projecting your own bias on a group of people whom you think, in turn, have a bias towards Sutter.

Hahaha if this is true this is like a 5 year-old tantrum where they barricade themselves in their rooms.
And were the trainers and other coaches in on this or were they locked outside too?
Why are there locks on the doors that only certain arena people can open?
Did the guys leave the arena wearing full equipment and their dress shoes?
What a silly team...

Hasn't Sutter always been kind of a guy who shows immediate results, but wears out his welcome fast with the team? Kinda like a Jim Harbaugh, though obviously through a much different personality.
Wouldn't shock me if he's not in L.A. more than another year or two. And of course, as mentioned, it is Brooksie here..
