For your on sake though it wouldn't be something I would post on a public forum. Seems like taking an unneeded risk for no reason.

What is the point of flames doing the ticket draw last minute? They already stated only 1200 tickets or 600 pairs
Why is Van doing differently?

Fair enough, probably a story not worth sharing anyhow. I have never stated where I work out of, SW Ontario is pretty broad. Wanted to share a work story like everyone else does but probably not the best idea. I do that a lot don't I? lol

Because Vancouver has so many more tickets available for playoffs. Flames playoff tickets would sell out in less than 5 minutes, whereas Canucks tix have been on sale for days and they're still available. The draw allows everyone to have a chance to buy the tickets rather than the people who happen to be on a computer at a given time

Do cops let off people sometimes for silly reasons or because they know them? Of course they do. When you were selling cars did you give CPers a break on prices? A would bet a bunch you did. Love how you are trying to twist this into something major. I let the majority of people I catch doing 10-20 over off because a warning is just as effective as a fine usually, as long as they are polite and they recognize what they did. If you are going to argue with me or give me a hassle you are getting it. We call it an a-hole charge. As for race or colour I have no preference there and I find it pretty damn insulting that you would imply that. This isn't the States and I didn't shoot an unarmed black man so cut it out.

off topic---
I rec'd a speeding ticket from the rcmp going 114 in a 90 zone on the hwy..now when i looked at the ticket i can see the officer changed the speed. 11 shaded in Gray cause its a copy and he wrote the 4 in blue ink on the yellow copy. can I just show up to court and argue it? or should i just pay the fine? thx

Can any of the Canucks fans here give me some insight into their roster? I know the Sedins, Vrbata, and Tanev have been very good, and Bieksa, Sbisa and Vey have been bad.

Didn't CBC move Hughson to the East games because of his Canucks bias? I guess now that RSN calls the shots they let Hughson go where he wants.

Just surprisingly well rounded and they have scored timely goals. Horvat Hansen and Kennins are fast but prone to giving up odd chances. Bonino Vrbata Higgens has been a solid 2nd line, while Mathias Dorsett and Vey have been typical but productive 3rd/4th liners.
If I could sum up the Canucks lines it would be a 1st, 2nd and 2 3rd lines. Defensively its hard to say because they had so many injuries. But they've done what Calgary has done. Won a lot of games in the 3rd period. Edler and Tanev have been solid against other teams top lines, whereas Hamhuis has been good defensively with Weber, While Bieksa and Sbiesa can either be great or a nightmare with terrible give aways.
Lack has been mostly awesome aside from a couple games where the team just hasn't shown up. Before the injury Miller was a beast.

Jesus Christ... if you think your responsibility as a police officer is at all comparable to a guy selling cars, that's almost as distressing as the original story. A private business can offer a discount for any reason it likes. You are a public official. You enforce the law impartially, not according to your own personal preferences.

When it comes to traffic cops, I think the main job they need to do is to make sure everyone drives safely and often warnings do just as good a job as handing out fines. Allowing some discretion is a good thing.
As Jesus Christ once said in this old book, the law was made for man, not man for the law.

Jesus Christ...It's not that big of a deal...really. I've been given breaks just about everytime I get pulled over. Once because the cop wanted a review of the car I was driving. Mostly though, because I'm polite and contrite, and as dissentowner mentioned, that alone can get you a break.

plus in dissentowers story the one person he gave a warning to admitted his mistake and apoligized while the second person didn't admit to it which means she was lying to him, not very smart to try and lie to a cop.
