Default Kings Mutiny Against Sutter?

From Larry Brooks so take from that what you will, but this is what he wrote:

Quote:
Slap Shots has been told by two sources that the Kings locked the door to their locker room following a defeat on the road within the last two weeks so that Sutter could not get in and deliver what the players apparently expected to be another in a series of lectures/tirades.

As the tale was told, after Sutter finally tracked down an arena operative to unlock the door, he was greeted by three heavy waste receptacles lined up as barricade to what had become an empty room.
I find it hard to believe a coach that has brought 2 Stanley Cups in 3 years will be let go this summer.

I'm not sure this is true. If so, ouch.. but maybe it's time for a shakeup in coaching? Sutter made that team playoff champions, he very well may be the lamb led to slaughter.

If this is true, and he's let go, I can see him ending up in Edmonton, unfortunately. Most coaches have a shelf life, and Sutter would probably be amazing for a team like the Oilers.

Not a snowball's chance.

Coaches are unfortunately the biggest scapegoat for poor player performance. If this is true, those guys are delusional. They didn't play well enough this year. Sutter is not the reason they aren't in the playoffs.

I think some players will be gone before Sutter. I've been wrong before though.

I thought his comments about being able to cheer for Calgary after the Kings loss as a funny/odd thing to say.

The story doesn't make sense unless they installed a top secret bat door to escape.

It's already been debunked by several LA sources.

Just Larry Brooks making crap up and attributing them to "unnamed sources". It's been his schtick forever.

Daren Millard @darenmillardFollow
Report out from @NYP_Brooksie on a rift between @LAKings players and coach Darryl Sutter. I am told there is nothing there.

i'd be shocked if true...

seemed like everyone had said Darryl was a "player's coach", not to mention leading them to two stanley cup rings...

Kings definitely unperformed though, which can be attributed to something going on behind the scenes...
