I don't think Rick Ball said "Flames" as much this afternoon as John Buccigross has said during this broadcast.

I'd like to see Janko rip it up in NCAA next year. I think he'd benefit by being "the guy" on his team for a year.

Only thing about having a college player of yours play his senior year, is that he may start thinking about if there are greener pastures elsewhere in the NHL.

Last two games are about as confident of games I've seen from Jankowski. Looks strong on the puck and not afraid to just shoot.

Based on how other NCAA centers have fared in the AHL (like Arnold) I can see Janko holding his own in Stockton. That said, could very much benefit from another year of weight training in college.

As somebody who has been fortunate enough to spend years in university and have a career based on that training, I just can't advocate for 'student athletes' to drop out a year early in order to pursue big league dreams. They've got something good going with the scholarships, and in cases like Janko, will only spend one more year in college as opposed to the AHL. Johnny was a little different, as it was pretty evident that he was likely going to the NHL. Huge earning potential difference by entering the league a year earlier, and he likely has a career set in professional hockey. As hopeful as I am about Jankowski, I'm not convinced he has a full career in professional hockey, and it's worth his while to complete a degree while he can.

I agree with Treliving. Jankowski should stay another season in Providence. He is much mature this year but another season might help him prepare for the NHL. No need to rush the guy.

Damn, how many shots BU have on Gillies now? Close to 60?
