I think it's probably better for Calgary if they start on the road. The Canucks also have a fantastic road record, but they have been only okay at home in recent weeks—pretty much .500 since the New Year.

Dorsett is a minus-4 with 0 points in four games against the Flames this season.
...and to Sekeres' comments about Gaudreau: what the hell does he imagine EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE NHL has been trying to do this year? If Gaudreau was so easily "worked over" it would have been a resolved issue in November.

So have they been saving him all season for the playoffs? Because in the Canucks games I've watched, he didn't look like a guy I'd want getting 20 minutes of ice time against another team's top line if he were a Flame.

The media guys and the fans around here love to put the blindfold on when talking about the Flames. The majority really have zero clue what they're in for. It's borderline insanity how willfully ignorant they're getting.

He's played really well this season. How many games did you watch? I'm not saying Dorsett is going to light the world on fire but he's a decent player in the playoffs as shown last season.
He hits and it will be interesting to see if Gaudreau (who I love btw, like you can't not like this flames team tbh) will shy away from the physical? Can he be Kane like? IMO the player you will really hate will be Ronald Kenins. He's as fast as any Flame and he hits like a ton of bricks!
The challenge for the Flames is will this carry over? We've seen lots of teams with great runs up to the playoffs and then experience a learning curve when they get there. Are they the Hawks in 2009 or the Blues of that same year? Remember the Blues had a great run with a lot of strong young players... we'll know in 2 weeks after game 6 or 7
Gonna be an awesome series!!!

Looks like Hartley not too concerned with home ice advantage given he's icing what looks like a preseason roster. I think its a solid move. Never know when we'll need the kids to help out on a long run.

i like the message. We don't care if we start on the road. We're winning either way.

This argument for Gaudreau is the same argument Canucks fans have used for the Sedins every year.
Play-offs are a different animal. You see the same team every night and you have more strict and direct game plan, as opposed to a more general plan that is used to work against every team in the regular season.

Start Wednesday, most likely Flames and Canucks will start that night as Rogers Arena is booked on Thursday and Saturday.

How can they settle this with the East not even clinched yet?
But if it is settled, when are the home games?

I would guess Monday / Wednesday. Seems unlikely they'd go for Sunday / Tuesday, but you never know.
