I didn't think they would win when I saw the lineup compared to the Jets but that was a pretty gross third period.

Ferly is going to be a big factor in the playoffs I feel.
A mean, big body that has offensive skills and suddenly in the top 9 if not the top 6 with Bouma's injury? Can't wait!

Well, lots of learning opps in that game. Enjoy the playoffs, Jets fans. Maybe next year you can clinch it on your own. We, also, would like the Cup.

Let's see:
Kulak was a bad early penalty and a bad turnover away from having a great overall game. I was really impressed by his defensive positioning. He might even pass Wotherspoon/Culkin on the depth chart next year as he gains more experience. I hope he puts on another 10-15lbs, he seems to have room on his frame.
Wotherspoon looked bad on that one goal against. I did like his first couple periods though.
Please, please trade Mason Raymond this offseason?
Colborne looked good, Bennett looked good, Ferland was the best player out there.
Wolf didn't look half as good tonight as he looked against the Sharks. He was losing board battles and generally didn't look sharp.
Ortio wasn't as sharp as someone who might have been playing for the last two months, but he also got hung out to dry. I wouldn't read much into his stats and early on I thought he made some great saves.
Good luck to the Winnipeg Jets, with that dominant performance over the Adirondack Flames I truly think they can make a real run at the AHL Calder Cup. Sucks that our goal differential and third period goal differentials dropped because of this damn game.

Flames' last goal of the 2013-14 season: Johnny Gaudreau's first NHL goal and point
Flames' last goal of the 2014-15 season: Sam Bennett's first NHL point (and Michael Ferland's second NHL goal)

I know this is going to be controversial, but here goes...
I think this team is better with Russell, Brodie, Wideman, Gaudreau and Monahan in the lineup.
Oh yeah, and Hudler too. Pretty useful guy.

Glad we didn't leave it to the last game, and took care of business at home.
Bravo Flames an amazing season!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really starting to believe we have a long-term top 6 player here. He was the best flame tonight imo.

Can someone tell me what Hartley see's in ####ing Raymond. This guy is utterly useless. Weak shot, weak forecheck ... weak everything. Slot in Bennett for the playoffs, and sit this clown in the pressbox where he belongs

Nah, we don't need any witch-hunting here.
People are welcome to have differing opinions here. The point being made in the GT was that if you choose to post on CP, then maybe don't go and insult this forum overall elsewhere. Seems pretty disrespectful and two-faced.
And to re-iterate the mod's view on the subject:

If this place is good enough for you to spend so much time here - then you shouldn't feel the need to go elsewhere and take a shot at the board. Particularly when you basically posted something that was not a reflection of "CP" but rather a couple of posters.
Don't take a dump on the place you seem to like to visit.

Hopefully the Jets are out round 1, just an annoying team.
Gotta hope for an Anaheim loss tonight so its Blues vs. Jets, which hopefully will result in a 4 game sweep for the Blues.

This game reminded me, once again, why i always hated the Jets and hope they get effin bull-dozed by Anaheim/St Louis in the first round.

Poirier didn't take a shift in the 3rd.
Backlund and Engellend didn't take a shift after the Jets 2nd goal.

He was not effective what so ever today. I dare say he was awful.
