Definitely an ####### move, but since ol' Bobby isn't exactly known as a swell guy, it's also awesome.
As for my own story... this one time I was in bar in Invermere and some creepy guy came up to me and said "these two girls (he then pointed at two girls, who were eyeing me coyly) want to know if you'll come back to their cabin and, you know, have sex with them".
I gotta admit it was tempting, but I turned them down. The next day, on sober reflection, I realized that if I had (as I kind of wanted to) taken him/them up on this offer, I would have been murdered and my teeth, eyes, kidneys, and ACLs would have been sold for scrap.
So yeah, my brush with fame is that I avoided being murdered in a small BC tourist town. I would have been famous!

I've had a few brushes with fame, and despite it being one of the more 'low key' affairs, my favorite is....
Getting some early morning groceries at the Sobeys in Lakeview one Saturday morning, and a recently retired Ralph Klein was standing in the checkout ahead of me. He was nice, smiling, and personable early in the morning (call it 900am?) while buying a paper and some basics.
My favorite part was that he was wearing his Edmonton Formal Wear.....grey sweatpants and a tshirt. My first thought was "God, this guy's great but clearly spent too much time in Edmonton".
Nice moment. Fond memory.

Back around 1995 or 1996, I had a conversation with John K. Samson in a public bathroom back when he was still with Propaghandi. He took a dump right in front of me with the stall door wide open. It was kind of awkward.

I once walked into a public restroom in Philadelphia and found a huge crowd of guys in there. It didn't take long to figure out what was going on since one guy kept announcing, "(Former 76er) Eric Snow is in that stall! He's taking a s###!" Sure enough, Eric Snow walked out a few seconds later. That was the day that I decided that professional athletes aren't overpaid.

I was an extra in a movie with Don Johnson. Got to stand in for him for the camera measurements and angles while he smoked and had his feet rubbed.

Throughout my early 20's until about mid thirties I was involved in the Calgary hiphop scene as an artist and manager so I met a few rappers.
-Toured with Redman for 4 Alberta/BC dates
-Met Ice Cube at show we did with him in Lethbridge
-Drove around the Clipse for a day and hung out with them as I was their show driver for a calgary date
-Toured with Aceyalone, DL Incognito and Moka Only across 10 dates in Western Canada
-Recorded Sean Price in our home studio during a tour stop in Calgary.
-Recorded Jordan Croucher and hung out with Classified
-Took Riff Raff to Singapore Sam's because he wanted to eat Chinese buffet before his show.
Non-rap stuff:
Worked as a waiter throughout college. Served Ralph Klein once. He was just by himself and was pretty nice. Met Craig Conroy too at some charity golf tournament I was serving at. Such a happy guy who really went out of his way to make people laugh. Excellent tipper too.

I used to wait tables with Carly Rae Jepsen. She often wanted me to take her lousy shifts but would never take my bad ones in return. It was always for something to do with her music, like a CD release party or something. When she didn't win Canadian Idol, I thought that would be the end of her. Good thing she stuck with music; she was a lousy waitress.
Got a photo with Weird Al Yankovic. Didn't seem all that weird.

went to vegas in the early 90's and we went to see Andrew Dice Clay in concert, after the concert, we saw him in the casino, asked to have our pic with him, he went along with it but by looking at the pic, you could see he wasnt all that happy about it.

In "Priscilla Queen Of The Desert" one of the performers brags about collecting one of the ABBA girls' turds in a jar.

I was an extra on Hell on Wheels when I was like 15 and I got to meet Common which was fricken awesome. I got a nose bleed on set and he asked me if I was alright.
Also when I was 9-10 I was an extra on a movie with Matthew Perry and during a break he shot a basketball around with us kids.
According to my mom I met Bill Cosby when I was a baby and he said I had "star potential". Yeah, safe to say his prediction didn't come true
Oh and one more: Brett and Owen Hart went to my high school and I live up the hill from the Hart house.

Have a photo of me hoisting the Stanley Cup over my head. Also a photo with the Stanley and Grey cups - 1987, one of only three times they've been won by the same city.

I also had one of the Hart brothers as a substitute teacher in Junior High, it was probably late 90's.
Met Stephen Harper twice, his niece is in the same grade and class as my younger sister.
Met Rickie Fowler this past summer at a PGA Tour event. Super nice guy, he had played a practice round earlier that day and was just hanging around talking to fans. We chatted about golf for a few minutes. He mentioned a couple of Calgary-area courses that he would like to play.
I watched Graham DeLaet play his entire first round at the Barclay's in August 2014 with his wife Ruby, from the Dove commercials. She is really great, talked about how crazy Canadian fans are at the Canadian Open and the Waste Management Open in Phoenix.
Met Brian Skrudland in 2013. Was a pretty nice guy.
Mike Cammalleri, Curtis Glencross, Zach Boychuk, Jordan Eberle, Sven Baertschi, Brett Carson - all played golf at the course I worked at a couple of years ago. All but one were really nice in the interaction I had with them.
Sat behind Matthew Perry at a movie when he was in Calgary shooting The Ron Clark Story. He ate an entire box of Milk Duds and a large popcorn before the movie even started. It was Lord of War with Nicholas Cage and Jared Leto.
Said "Hi Nick" to Nick Faldo. He said, "Hi" back.
Saw Jarome Iginla years ago at Japanese Village.
Met Devan Dubnyk when he played Bantam.

I am a UFC fanboy and have met Dana White, Wanderlei Silva, Frank Mir, Cane Valasquez, TJ Dillashaw, Renan Barao, Chuck Liddell, Urija Faber, Michael Bisping, Sam Stout, Anthony Pettis, Robbie Lawler and Rory McDonald all at various events.
Hockey wise I have met lots of the flames past and present but stand outs are meeting Bobby Hull, Bobby Orr, Mike Bossy, Mark Messier, Patrick Roy, Alex Ovechkin and Frank Mahovlich. And one player in a Hockey Tournment where everyone had an NHL Alum player on the team can rember who we had on our team but Tiger Williams played on the other team, walked into our dressing room and say down. Looked around said "oops, this is where all the p***ies get dressed. Got back up and left"
I work for a company that supplies equipment for the film industry from time to time in Southern Alberta and almost exclusively in the Vancouver Area. I Have been lucky enough to visit lots of TV & Movie sets and have gotten to meet a handful of actors along the way. Ed Norton when he was filming in K Country for Bourne Supremacy, Common with Hell on Wheels and Christopher Nolan.

It was on the lot that day, no idea why and haven't seen it since. Where it is parked is stunts Canada so maybe just test driving. It's still pretty cool after all these years.
