Just watched the game. So many great performances, what's there to say. The best thing is, I wasn't THAT nervous at any point after the game started, because we were just flat out better. We fully earned the win. Sure we let them control the puck a bit too much after 2-0, but we stopped them from doing pretty much anything with that.

Kudos to Raymond, a really good defensive game when we really needed it. Who would have thought?
Hiller was solid, a really calming presence in the net.
Hudler seems to be playing hurt, but that isn't stopping the points.
Ferland, what a way to step up.
Of course the usual suspects, Gaudreau, Monahan, Hudler, Russell... etc.

This gave a lot of confidence for the playoffs. There's a lot of dangerous teams in the mix, but we are certainly one of them.

Oh, and I totally approve Hartley going with Bollig. 4th line veteran presence was welcome. I have rarely had such confidence in a coaching staff. These guys really seem to know what they're doing.

At the game, during the first intermission, I was walking through the concourse, and walking the other way was a guy who was a dead ringer for Kris Russell. It took me a couple of seconds to remember that Russell actually has a twin brother, so this guy was either his brother or their long-lost triplet.

Then, in the second intermission, I passed Russell's dad on the concourse (who I recognized from the Hometown Hockey segment they did earlier in the season). So, I assume it was his brother I saw in the first.

Man, he's going to get so many free drinks over the next couple of months in this city.

Just lost for words right now. Watched the first and part of the second but had to call it a night at 3.30am, to wake up to a 3-1 win was just the best feeling in the world

This season has been amazing. I got to see two games in the Dome for the first time ever including the come from behind win against NJ. The place was rocking that night so i can only imagine what last night was like.

If the flames play like they did last night in the playoffs they are going to worry a lot of teams, I have no worries about playing the Nucks whether we have home advantage or not. All I ask now is that they get past the first round so that the playoff are still on when I visit in May (9th).

Time to order my car flag.

You guys are also amazing and I am proud to be a member of CP

Default ZOMG playoffs!!!! Flames win 3-1!

I came home from Jamaica at 1am. I finished watching the game about 45 mins ago and I can't sleep now!!!

I'm so proud of this team. I knew we were better than what most people thought, after last year. I picked us to be a playoff team this year and never once had a second thought!! It feels so good to be right.

I can't wait for the Canucks. Just the team I wanted for the first round. They won't know what hit them.

Wrap your head around this one: The Flames will end the season with more Regulation or OT wins than every post-lockout Stanley Cup Champion except for the Ducks (and there's still a slim chance they could tie Anaheim in ROW).

Bravo Flames. Bravo.

Just watched the game after work here in Oz and I'm so happy. I thought they didn't stand a chance at the playoffs this year. I'm more than happy to eat crow.

Go Flames Go.

Take a look at this gem from the LA Kings Forum, under 'Who are you rooting for now?'

Quote:
Rooting against, from intense hatred to mild distaste:
  1. Ducks - Keep'em at 1 please
  2. Flames - Because they haven't really worked for it. Everything bounced their way this season, & that's supremely annoying
  3. Canucks - Burrows lifting the Cup?? Disband the league before that happens
  4. Penguins (if they make it) - So mentally fragile. A big fra-jee-lay stamp should be on all their helmets
  5. Canadiens - Price, good. Subban, good. But that's kinda it
  6. Nashville - Nah, man
  7. Blackhawks - *fart sound*
