Flames can get home ice if they beat the Jets and the Oilers beat Vancouver

I would rest Hudler for sure as he took a fair bit of punishment tonight and the Jets can play a careless game. That said it's hard for us to know exactly who's the most banged up players in the locker room atm.

i think that russell, brodie and wideman all need a night off. I expect Potter and Schlemko to be upwards of 20 minutes next game.

We can't call up anyone unless it is an emergency call up

What's the chance of the Oilers doing the Flames two favours in a week? It's been a decade since they did themselves a favour. Could be too much to ask.

Listening to Martin Gelinas, it sounds like Hudler is gonna sit and Bennett is gonna play.

With them up 4-0, and still another game to play, it's looking 99% certain that the standings are set.

Not to mention that their final game is against the Jokers from up North. The Canucks will put that one to bed with their eyes shut.

I think we have to go into maintenance mode now, get some of the guys like Hudler and Russell patched up and give Bennett and Wotherspoon a run out against the Jets.

The Canucks don't need to lose both games. Just the one to the oilers. Now while the oilers are bad there is more than a 1% chance of them winning

You still rest some guys.

Calgary has more ROW

Winnipeg cant change position and I fully expect Hutch and a lot of backups.

No reason Calgary shouldnt play for 2nd and home ice

Well the reason would be the thing they are trying to pass off as a NHL team up North has to win.

Yeah I 100% agree, rest as many guys as possible.

?? They aren't going to lose both games, they're pretty much guaranteed to win the Arizona game as they have a 4-0 lead with only a few minutes left. We can't catch them, may as well rest guys on Saturday.

I'd rather our vets get a rest and recharge, than go balls out for home ice. Gather energy for the playoffs.
