Talking about playing a 200 foot game : "You need to buy a full time membership to become a Calgary Flame. You might get a 10 day pass but you won't get your money back"

Flames coach Hartley on watching standings:

"I don't want to deal with a stock-broker that will not look at the stock market every day."

When talking about the game tmrw and their mindset:

"That's where we're at. Whether we play the Red Army, the Canadian Olympic team or the Columbus Blue Jackets, it's the same thing for us."

Patrick Roy said Bob Hartley asked him if he needed anything. Roy replied "No". Hartley responded "Good, we need two points". #COLvsCGY

As much as he uses his smart wit to come up with great quotes for hockey, he could just as easily use that wit to come up with the world's worst Dad jokes.

Hartley gave a lot of credit to JH's dad in this interview for how well JH had been coached and made Hartley's job easier, starts at ~4:00 in the video.

Also, "Johnny was raised not to be a cookie monster" (4:40)

Spoiler!

I just watched that and rewound it a few times to see if there was something I was missing.

What the hell does that even mean?

Guessing it means Johnny cares more about being responsible than racking up points

I'm thinking it means he's not a puck hog.

Heard on Flames @ 5 on 960, in response to question related to lineup (Bennett specifically, I think?): "It's like Batman-when one episode is over, you have to tune in the next week. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel."
(Or something close to that...)

How does he have time to coach this team when he is so busy coming up with these gems?
