One of my wife's stocking stuffers was a pair of cheap-ass Flames logo earrings. Which she hasn't worn.
This morning, she says, "I should wear the Flames earrings for tomorrow night's game", to which I replied, "No. You're not wearing them now until the season is over."

Let's see - (i) last home game of regular season (ii) could guarantee playoff lock (iii) possibility (even if remote) of seeing Bennett in line-up.

The games are usually on late enough here that my wife, who happens to be 7 months pregnant, is already in bed by the time it starts.
So I guess my ritual is violently shaking my fists in the air with an inaudible scream every time something really good or really bad happens to the Flames. I'll obviously continue this whether my wife is asleep or not, probably resulting in many strange looks from her and my dog.

I don't know if I'm even going to be able to watch this game ... my heart might explode.
This year is a total bonus and I'm still stressed as hell over these games. How did I ever manage to survive when we actually had expectations of success?

Flames have gone 5-0-2 when I:
-Like the Flames Facebook photo announcing game day
-Like the Flames Instagram photo announcing game day
-Don't watch any of the 1st period or any highlights until the games finished
So you'll probably find me hooked up to a respirator scrolling through my news feed in anticipation on Thursday.

Didn't you also run into some sphincter problems during the Dallas game?
Keep that tradition up too.

Win, lose or draw tomorrow night - I hope all Flames fans give this team a standing ovation for all the hard work, fun and excitement they have given us in each game this year - it was way more than any of us expected.

Every time someone in the studio or the PBP team says something like "Flames have a such and such record when x player scores" or "Flames just need a win to clinch a spot" or something along those lines, everyone needs to knock on wood 3 times.
Trust me.

Tomorrow will be the first game of the year that I attend live. Not exactly sure how that factors into the whole threads of the universe thinking, but I'm sure I'll be to blame either way

Well so far when I have gone to a game with the girlfriend, we have lost every time. The one time I didn't go with her, we won. Turns out I am going tomorrow and NOT with the girlfriend either. That's gotta bode well for the flames.

I was way more nervous last night watching the Oilers hold a lead than I was watching the Flames let the Coyotes tie things up twice.

I always throw my Monahan jersey on during the first commercial break, and they always lose when I do it earlier or later than that. I'll be sure to get it on at the exact time to ensure us a victory tomorrow night!!

I wish I could find it, but in 1986 in the Stanley Cup finals in the last game all of the Flames fans at the dome stood up as one and chanted Thank You Flames, to show appreciation for that run.
win or lose Thursday night, its the home closer and it would be nice if the fans could show the same appreciation in the third period.

I will be watching the game first thing in the morning when I arrive at work on Friday, and with my jersey on.
...Unfortunately, I have to attend a meeting @ 1015, which likely means that I will be stopping midway—probably between the second and third period. It's a painful image that I construct under these circumstances of my performance in said meeting. Luckily for me, it is almost impossible to fire an academic in Norway. Otherwise, the rest of the day might have consisted of cleaning out my desk, and booking passage back home to Canada.
GFG.
