Matt Stajan has quietly had an awesome season. I can't remember the last time I thought he had a bad game. Sure he's not flashy, but he's a perfect 3/4 centre.

Risky to use his stick? Safer to block it with his glove?

Does anyone have a video of Hiller's sick dangle leading to the Coyotes goal?

Really, really, really liked Jones' game last night. Wow. You just cannot underestimate how much experience can bring to a young lineup like that. He played like a power forward last night. I have not ever been a big fan of his, but he set the tone early in the game last night and stuck with it.

Even though the score was close it never felt like the game was ever in question.

Pretty sure he gave no thought to anything and just reacted completely.

Using his glove would have been the wrong play. He was also covering the open side, and on the chance a puck squeaks past Hiller on the ice, he needs two hands on his stick ready to clear the puck immediately or tie up a Coyote stick. By the time that puck flutters toward him there is no time to do anything but what he did.

A bit late for this, but Matt Stajan has earned every penny of the 3m.

Not a lot of time to decide. It's a natural reaction and I'm sure he's just as thankful as us that it hit his stick.

Everyones nerves are shot to pieces just getting into the playoffs, can you imagine what it will be like during the playoffs (once we make it)
I had zero expectations for this team to be in the playoffs. Even as it has become a real possibility I can't see them having playoff success. So to me it's been all about this run and getting in. Last night was crazy / Flames were not playing well and it looked like they were one more goaltender walk about from disaster. Out of nowhere winner and hang on for dear life. Switch the channel and the stupid Oilers goalie let's one in from center ice. Yet they somehow weather that and win.

To me this is it for this year / it's all about getting in and not about achieving playoff success. I think I will actually feel relaxed once they make it in.

Really late....

- HAHA stupid LA, can't believe they played Martin Jones....LOL

- Anyone else remember Monahan's little shot on goal after the whistle on the off-side that caused a bru-ha-ha? I thought that was pretty funny, first time I've seen him be that kind of agitator.

- Colbourne quietly had a very good game, he had a lot of chances and drove to the net strong. David Jones also had a great game, already mentioned. And of coarse... Stajan had a great game too.

- Hiller..... before the goat goal and after, had a few close calls coming out of the net.... kind of scares me

- Bouma... crosses fingers. Guess Bollig is coming back, but I would have to think Drew Shore would have been the more obvious option.
