QOTD: Are the Flames playoff bound?
Two games, two points needed. How interesting or devastating do they make it?

I don't like this QOTD. Anything with playoffs is a jinx till we clinch

I fear it could be the "lose-lose-then meltdown while waiting for LA to lose on Saturday" option. But I Boblieve, so W-L it is.

I picked Loss and OTL but after reconsidering I feel they may lose both in regulation. I think the Kings will bring their best game Thursday night and the way the Flames have played lately won't cut it. Don't like their chances to win in Winnipeg the way the Jets are playing. Either way it was as fun a season as you can have missing the playoffs.

I disagree. (realizing you are allowed to your opinion, and superstition is subjective)
I think if you say "when they make the playoffs" or even something like "assuming they make the playoffs" or ... "lets just say they make the playoffs"
but "will they make the playoffs" is not a jinx. just a question.

Luckily the games are at the same time ... because I was thinking that too.

I think it will end Thursday night in OT with the Flames celebrating.

Predicted the Flames will suffer a loss to the Kings on Thursday.
Flames will rebound and play a great game against the Jets and win in on Saturday.

Then the only thing that'll save me from having two TVs side by side on Saturday afternoon is a win tomorrow.

Every game seems to end up being a nail-biter this time of the year.
Simply for the sake of drama, I suspect both remaining Flames games will be tied after regulation. I realize Calgary has good stats after regulation and L.A. has terrible stats after regulation, but I have a bad feeling that this just won't be easy. Therefore, I see both games as losses (in OT vs. L.A.; in a SO vs. Winnipeg), with L.A. beating S.J. in regulation. This will see Calgary and L.A. finish the season tied at 97 points with Calgary granted 8th spot (2nd wildcard) due to a narrow tie-breaker victory. (I believe I have this correct).
*whew*
Buckle up! Things are liable to get a little crazy!!!

Similarly, the Kings will have to pick up their game to win in Calgary. It took a lucky goal from the red line for them to even have a shot at a point last night against the Oilers' backup.
I really think they are gassed.

Taking a while to get to 5000

I'm all in. OT or shoot out win on Thursday, regulation win against a disinterested Jets team on Saturday.

No option for "yes; loss then loss?" It's a possibility.
I think they'll win one of two.

I choose this option (wasn't there):
Yes, OTL and win.
