That would be ironic if the Wild end up missing the playoffs.

My favourite (slightly likely) scenario has the Flames in 2nd with 99 at the end. Canucks lose to Arizona and then, in the last game of the last night of season, under the final pressure, with the whole league watching, have get to a point against the Oilers to stay in. But the silver lining is, if they do, they knock the Kings out.

2nd Flames 99pts (3-0) 41 ROW (Ari W / La SOW / Wpg OTW)
3rd Kings 98pts (2-0-1) 39 ROW (Edm W / Cgy SOL / Sj W)
WC1 Minnesota 100pts (2-1) 42 ROW (Chi L / Nsh W / Stl W)
WC2 Winnipeg 99pts (2-0-1) 36 ROW (Stl W / Col W / Cgy OTL)
3rd? 9th? Vancouver 97pts? 40/41 ROW? (Ari L / Edm?)

Canucks miss if....

If VAN get 1 pt, only way they miss is: LA: EDM(W), CAL(W), SJ(W). CAL: ARI(W), LA(OTL), WPG(W) (>= 1 ROW). WPG: STL(W), COL(W), CAL(OTL).

If that's the case I'd rather finish at 3, and play Vancouver!

No. Still scenarios that exist that have any of the Canucks, Flames or Kings finishing 2nd or 3rd in the division... some more likely than others.

I think its kind of funny how everyone was rooting against a 3-point game in the Van/LA match-up, when in reality, the Kings getting anything less than 2 points was really the desired outcome.

All we have to do it match the Kings in the last three games, and obviously the head-to-head match-up will play a large roll in that.

This.

Canucks were in effect a sure thing anyways, the 1 point game for LA is a great outcome, especially given it looked like they'd take 2 points for most of the game.

We're finally level on games played and we hold the playoff spot. Comes down to the last 3 games which include a direct head-to-head with LA. Given thats a 4 point game, I'd say it'll be the deciding game as both teams may split the other 2 games.

If the Flames win tonight, they can clinch vs. the Kings on Thursday. So the third games may not matter.

Cheering for Vancouver makes me feel dirty.

EDM winning tonight would have by far the biggest impact on the race:

Can they surprise a tired team? Would they do the Flames a favour?

Winning the 6/49 would have the biggest impact on my wallet but I don't plan my life around it

I'm gutted they got a point. I'd have preferred they got 0.
