Ugh. That makes me so sad. Always wanted Myers on the Flames.

I would have liked to land Myers, but you can bet that the cost would have been pretty substantial. Obviously it's impossible to say for sure since we have no idea what the deal would have been, but I'm just going to assume that I would have hated it.

Myers is a really good young player that's most likely going to get better. It sucks he isn't on the Flames but it's awesome to know that Treliving went after him. It's great knowing that management it constantly trying to upgrade the team.

Sucks, but not the end of the world. I'm sure the Flames will be looking for upgrades to the blueline during the summer. Just because we didn't get Myers doesn't mean that the search is over.

Flames 1st this year or next year would likely have been involved.

Speaking of young d-men, are the Yotes pretty much done with Brandon Gormley?

They sent him back down to the AHL yesterday. If he can't stick to their roster right now...

Gormley is an interesting young guy but I'm wondering how serious the yotes were about saying everyone was available and what it would take to get OEL.

They were speculating the asking price would have been Monahan or Bennett + for Myers.

It makes me happy though that we have a GM that is actively trying to get deals done to make this team better.

That was what Pinder was saying.

Duha didn't buy it though saying the Flames wouldn't have traded Monahan and Bennett doesn't make a lot of sense given the Sabres have Reinhart + either Eichel or McDavid joining their group.

so it was just one person saying something to get a response, not anything legitimate. It's like saying we want McKinnon and Dushesne for Wideman.

I went to the home opener of where I was born in Riga, Latvia to take in the Dynamo Riga game and I can assure you that the home opener was just as loud, maybe even louder than a Flames playoff game. It was packed, full stadium.

Even the first from this year is too high a price for me. Didn't seem too likely, unless the Sabres like some type of Colborne/Backlund and prospect (Klimchuk?) package.
