I guess we aren't couning Toronto as a Canadian team?

But Ya I agree I would like to see as many Canadian teams in.

All those years of losing in Anaheim, was just saving up the wins for this first round matchup with them. Curse will be broken!

I know that Toronto considers themselves the center of the universe and all but they still technically count as Canadian.

I don't think people should consider the Canucks or the Wild safe - the Canucks are 1 game up and we hold the tiebreak and Minnesota is 1.5 game up with what I think is the toughest remaining schedule.

3 Pts for Calgary, two regulation losses by the Jets. Flames clinch a spot on Thursday. Sam Bennett plays the last game of the season vs Winnipeg

Funny how the playoffs will feel way less stressful than these games. Every game the flames play right now feels like a game 7. Add on top of that the stress of the OOT. The playoffs will feel like a huge relief for our blood pressure.

I have a feeling iginla will find a way to be a hero to this team even though he isn't on it anymore... by having a monster game against the jets while the flames pull off a win against the kings. I can just imagine the news spreading around the dome on Thursday night that iginla scored a hat trick and the jets lost while the flames cling to a 1 goal lead late in the 3rd period against the kings.

I wonder if Iggy will be in Calgary if they make the playoffs

The Canucks, Wild, Kings, and Jets will all finish ahead of Calgary. The Flames are stumbling to the finish line which is a function of the underlying stats catching up to them.

I know I know, I'm feeding the troll, but LA has one more point than us in the last 10 games. If we are "stumbling" then so are they.

To elaborate haven't the Kings gotten exactly 1 more point then Calgary in Last 10?

The Canucks have lost the last two in a row? Winnipeg losing a heartbreaker to NYR last week

Wild losing last two?

What part of the above is surging?

LA has been dominant in most of their games leading up the stretch. Calgary has not- I expect this will play a role in the final standings.

As was pointed out...1 more point in last 10.

Should be an easy thing to follow stats guy

If the flames are stumbling, I hope we stumble all the way to the Stanley Cup.

If you're predicting which team makes the playoffs, do you pick the team who control the play against their opponent, or do you pick the team who is continually in the minus column for corsi events?

This seems pretty cut and dry to me.

Every single one of your posts is about Corsi and stats and how the Flames will falter. Yet here we are with 3 games left. What will happen the next 3 games will not be about advanced stats.

Your a Canuck fan that loves to drive by. Seriously get lost with that crap
