Stock LDR is arc (at least I'm pretty confident that's where I bought my arc LDR)

You can also cheese with the LDR! The nightfall for this one is super easy to do.

I finally got the horn and now I have not much reason to play the game. I don't even feel the need to level up my 29 titan further. I already have a lvl 32 hunter with all my exotic armor levelled. I don't feel the need to play the game much anymore.

Only thing to do now for us looking forward to House of Worlds is casually playing Nightfalls/Heroic or the odd bounty while leveling up factions close to the next rank. Once the DLC drops, hand in some bounties and instantly get some packages for new gear.

That is very smart thinking.

So I managed to get VOG hard mode done this week, but failed miserably at Crota HM last night.

Bought a Long Bow Synthesis sniper rifle last night to replace my terrible blue snipers. Still need to get a good heavy weapon and then my Hunter is in good shape.

It's so funny....I dominate PVP on a regular basis but PVE is so gear and group dependent that trying to do it by yourself just doesn't work very well.

This is the first week since I've gotten the game where I haven't touched the game. I have all the exotic weapons now, so meh. Got Monkey Island and Tokyo Jungle for $1 each during the flash sale, which have kept me pretty occupied. I'm also tempted to take a stab at Season 3 for Diablo after taking a year's hiatus.

That being said, barring any unforeseen work deadlines, I (and I believe TheyCallMeBruce) will be there the second the new raid drops. He even set up a Twitch feed for us lol.

So Bruce, get your Gjallamahorn up to Wolf Pack Rounds at least so we can be ready for wonderful things next month!

Sweet. We already have a raid crew, but I'm kinda guessing not all of them will be able to take time off to raid. Maybe not even myself lol. I'll keep updating this thread as HoW comes closer. All the new raids have come out in the afternoon previously, if I recall correctly?

I have heavy telemetry and a bunch of unclaimed bounties so I will probably finish levelling it really quick. I'm in no hurry. I'm pretty sure I get it levelled before friday.

It should drop with the next update so Tuesday morning 3AM mountain time.
Nothing confirmed. Don't mind the vendor gear being a lead in too much, more interested in how they'll deal with exotics.

I think it's more that they will make it less of a grind to upgrade your character.

And I don't mind the vendor gear being a level higher, it'll probably be level 33 gear, and the new raid gear will get you to 34. At least with the vendor gear I feel like I'm actually earning it rather then hoping that this week I get that piece of raid gear. With Crota it took almost 6 weeks before I got boots for my titan and warlock. 4 weeks before I got the helmet.

I hope they add MORE ways to get to max level, save the best gear and weapons for the raids of course, but allow people to get there through playing all aspects of the game. It needs to be fun, not a grind.

Overall I liked the way they handled Raid drops this time. Missing only Crux but having done enough Raids, I've got everything else. May be fortunate in RNG in general this time around but it's not like the mythical Praedyth's Timepiece and Praetorian Foil.

So are you just leveling up your factions and not opening the packages?

If you do that, the packages will contain pre House of Wolves rewards. What I'm working on is nudging each of the faction plus Vanguard/Crucible just before the next rank (after rank 2) so that when the DLC drops, I can hit the next rank, get a package and then open it day of.
