The Playoff Chase | CGY, WPG, LA
How will the final chase be for these three who are competing for the final two spots for the Stanley Cup?
CGY: ARI, LA, @WPG
WPG: @MIN, @STL, @COL, CGY
LA: @VAN @EDM @CGY @SJS

CGY: ARI, LA, @WPG - 1-1-1 worst case scenario
WPG: @MIN, @STL, @COL, CGY - Could easily go 1-3
LA: @VAN @EDM @CGY @SJS - Coulg go 4-0 just as easy as they could go 1-3
I still think the Jets are the odd man out through this race.

LA is on a roll they will make it in and they will also beat us that second last game of the season.
It comes down to us and Winnipeg. We need them to lose to Minny and St. Louis - they can't get more than a point out of those two games. We need to beat Arizona.
From there Colorado can help us further or not. But it will come down to that final game against Winnipeg IMO.
Buckle up!

LA isn't on any more of a roll than the Flames are, 6-3-1 v 5-3-2 in the last 10. LA has picked up 1 more total point.

LA has done this before.
And IMO they have the better team with the experience to dominate under this pressure.
Us and Winnipeg are in uncharted territory.

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
I know the cool thing to do for Canadian team fans is to wish failure of every other Canadian team and want them to miss out, but for me I just don't want them winning cups, cause I want the Flames to be the next Canadian team to win it.
I personally think series' involving Canadian teams is just so much more exciting to watch and follow. I can't place it, but there's just something special about the atmosphere and makes the playoffs more exciting overall.
It usually boils down to "arrogance of the fanbases" which is kind of silly, cause we all say the same things, and at the end of the day we're all just super passionate.
Really hope LA is the odd man out, and we get to see the C of Red and White Out and. Hopefully Ottawa makes it too. That would make for a great playoffs.

I think we need to drag Vancouver down into this fight with us. If LA beats Van, and we beat Arizona, they are right back into the race with us.

I'm really trying to stay positive here, but ultimately I think we will beat Arizona and Winnipeg. We will tie LA for points and have the ROW advantage, pushing LA into the final wildcard.

With Winnipeg having to play half their remaining games against the Blues and Wild, who mopped the floor with us, I would be surprised if they gained a single point against them. If you give them the Avs game and us the Arizona game, that would mean we would have a 1 point lead with games against both the Kings and the Jets. Get 1 point in the two games and we're in.

I went with my heart on this and have LA missing. Prized deadline acquisition Sekera is out, and they will stumble against Van and Calgary this week and the Sharks will get their revenge by putting the nail in the coffin while fans in Winnipeg cheer their first playoff birth of the new Jets. Flames renew their rivalry with the Canucks and have another classic series

Winnipeg always has one goal games with St Louis and Minnesota. I see no reason for that to change. Next two days will be the biggest for us Jets fans since the team came back

Of the teams in the race, the Flames have the least depth and the most significant injuries. No one will accuse me of over confidence this week.

This close, this long, so many things going well for the Flames (but not all, I know) the Flames will find a way.
Hope its at the expense of Vancouver or Winnipeg, but tomorrow's OOT results will end up being the guide for how we and the Flames want the rest of the week to play itself out.

Vancouver will get easy points against Oil and Yotes. They are all but a lock
Would love to see LA miss, but realistically it is the Jets I see out.
