Playoff games count towards the 9-game limit.
If he plays the remainding 4 games then he could play in 5 playoff games before it burns a year of his contract.

Could make for an interesting secondary narrative to any Flames playoff run. Which games are worth burning one of Sam's games? I look forward to discussing it at length...

I really really really cant see why we would sit Bennett over some of the players who have done nothing but hurt the team for a game where we really need a win.
I have a feeling he will sit though and im gonna be pissed.

Not when they win, regardless of lineup

A. Don't be a downer.

B. There are no Flames who have done nothing but hurt the team.

C. If Bennett plays I think you may want to temper your expectations of his impact. He's still never played a single real game, and he's still a kid.

Colborne. He has done nothing but hurt the team.
I have no expectations from Bennett. However he has a lot of potential. I seriously doubt he is anymore useless than Colborne or Raymond.

Why don't you give us a heads up when you're NOT pissed.

And playoffs? How about playoffs?
Also, we should have brought him up a month ago.

GIOFORPM -- You are right about tempering expectations . I have watched him in Kingston his whole Junior career and as impressed as I have always been (starting from his very first game) he is a rookie and not used to NHL speed . He will have a geat NHL career but not too many rip mit up at the start but like recent rookies with Calgary that have played better than expected I believe he can match their starts because of his vision and stickhandling skills --
