Yeah for sure. I meant "hurting the Flames" as is mailing it in against the Kings, not so much our actual game against them.
It's just sad to know they would likely give such little effort in their games vs the teams we're competing with for a playoff spot. Worst franchise in professional sports indeed.

After they beat Edmonton and Ari one last time they will have 22 out of a possible 24 pts against teams that are more interested in losing than winning Ari-Edm and buffalo
The Jets are finished playing tankers and picked up 14 out of a possible 16 pts against them. No more "free" pts for the Jets

Wow, the eastern conference seems a lot tighter this year vs. years past. Great to see!

Yep, it sure did tighten up. Back in Feb, it didn't look like much of a race as the top 7 looked like locks. Now, only the top 3 are in and the rest have to fight it out.

The Oilers are going to be up for the game? Honestly.. who cares? They are no good.
Even during this 'hot' stretch, they haven't beaten any playoff contenders. Their last win over a playoff team was in February. They haven't even been close against playoff teams since early March. Beaten fairly easily by Anaheim, LA, Jets, Pittsburgh, Detroit.

No need to be worried. The Flames just took and are taking advantage of being the schedule.... Sort of payback for missing the playoffs in the West when they likely would have had a 1st round home series in the East.

Oilers are 8 -38 against the West this year, Of their 8 wins against the west team the Oilers 2 have been by Shoot out,
teams playing the Oilers have taken 78 out of a possible 92 possible points.
The Oilers have been as close to a default win as there can possibly be.
The biggest worry the Flames have playing the Oilers is that too many players might hit bonus levels.

Yesterday, I was calm and excited for the game.
Today, my heart is beating a little faster, I have looked at the standings page and the schedules for the remaining week about 15 times, and I've got some butterflies in my stomach.

Things on paper are so stacked in the Flames favor right now that I'm nervous they are going to blow it somehow.
We play @ Oilers, Coyotes
Jets play Canucks, @ Wild, @ Blues
If we win our games, and the Jets only get a single point (or none) we clinch on Tuesday.
That would mean the Jets lose 5 straight though, and I just don't see that happening.
Ugh, this is exciting but I just want it to be over already haha

Best case scenario is Flames clinch Tuesday.
Worst case scenario is Flames are eliminated Tuesday.
Obviously every scenario in between involves Thursdays and Saturdays games becoming important.
I just want them to play the games! It's torture waiting a couple of days between games.

The Jets, Kings, and Flames win. The Canucks lose, and the Wild lose in OT.
The race is very tight.

Beat Arizona and then win one of the remaining 2 against LA/WPG. What a wild finish this is! Love it
