To be clearer that is my expectations of what I think we will be facing. I just hope i'm wrong.

I expected to lose this game.

That said, I was hoping to steal a point. Giving up a weak goal a minute in ended those hopes.

Not a great game all round really, you could see that they just couldn't get anything going for a sustained period all night long. This seemed to be one of those games that balanced up a lot of our luck from earlier in the season, pucks were bouncing over sticks, players were falling over, the team just seems out of gas at this point in the season.

My goodness I do not understand how Raymond manages to keep getting the minutes and pp time that he does, he was awful last night. A lot of players didn't have a good night but he just kept standing out for lost pucks and dead plays.

Oh well onto the next one and keep believing.

I like how the flames find a way to earn points lately but they were outplayed in nearly each game over last month with an exemption of nashville game.

I thought the top line was much better tonight than in previous matches against the Blues. It was a better loss.

I don't think any goalie in this league would be able to win any games against the Blues when the whole team in front of the goalie tries to be goalies in their own zone for two-thirds of the game. I can give a hoot about Russell's NHL record for blocked shots. Let the goalie do his job and start skating to get the puck out of your own zone and start creating offence. Cripes, two games in a row where the Flames are hemmed in their own zone for most of the games. The Flames need size and some legitimate defencemen.

I think the Dmen have been fine..in fact i think they have been great.

Its the forwards that are letting this team down...somewhat in the offensive zone but more specifically in their own end. Defence is a team concept (and effort) and both F and D need to be on the same page. Only two F lines have been willing lately for the most part, and its reflected in shots on net in particular.
