Calgary 45-30-7- 97 points 41 ROWS
Los Angeles 41-26-15- 97 points 39 ROWS
Winnipeg 42-27-13 - 97 points 35 ROWS

1st tie breaker is ROWs so WINNiPEG is out but there is a 3-way tie for 5th all with the same amount of ROW's.
2nd tie breaker is Head 2 head but what happens if we have a better record against Van but not against Min and Van a better record against Min (i haven't checked)?
Do they automatically go to the third which is Goal differential?

I guess this would only be an issue if all three teams were in the same division right?

Thanks
This scenario takes care of itself nicely, since two Pacific Teams get the automatic playoff births. Calgary and Vancouver get those, due to more ROW, Calgary gets home ice advantage because they won the season series vs VAN.

Minnesota and LA get the wild card spots, having the top two ROW numbers out of the three remaining teams.

Interesting butt-hurt article from the Kings blogger site Royal Half about LA's 10 worst losses of the season ranked in order:

"As the LA Kings season winds down, it’s only natural to wonder: “What if a few things had gone differently?”
A few shifts here or there, a bounce that goes their way, or whatever minute detail it may be, and suddenly the Kings would be in a playoff spot."

http://theroyalhalf.com/2015/04/la-k...014-15-season/

Flames own the #1 and #2 worst LA losses of the season

Enjoyed watching the natural hat-trick again! Wish they included Giordano's OT winner too.

I really think that Colarado can help us and beat LA on Saturday. Same goes for Vancouver. Can't trust Edmonton however.

I'm hoping SJ is looking for some revenge in the form of being the spoiler and putting a damper on the Kings playoff chances.

it really seems like everything will come down to last game of the year. LA is likely taking one of the spots.

That just means in 78.4% of the scenarios they have run, have the Flames in the playoffs.

I am assuming those numbers are from sportsclubstats, meaning that is a monte carlo simulation. At this point in the season, there are only so many possible outcomes and that list includes them all. All of the outcomes, by definition, add up to 100%

Well, need to take care of business with the worst two teams in our Conference, two teams we haven't lost to yet this season.

If we can't do that, we don't deserve a spot anyways.

Agree.

But the part I fear is "two teams we haven't lost to YET this season."

Yep. If you can't beat the Coyotes and Oilers in games of this magnitude you simply don't have what it takes to do anything in the playoffs anyway.

Well, the Blues and Bhawks officially clinched playoff spots. I put Nashville in there just for tonight/today to show how far the Wild have come. Minnesota can still win the division and the Predators could fall to the wild card spot.

I have no confidence in Pavelec, in leading the Jets to the playoffs. I think the clock struck midnight, and he will revert to his historical 0.905% average for the remainder of games. Jets have to roll the dice with Hutchinson to get into the playoffs.
