Flames didn't deserve to win tonight. Really missed Byron, Jooris, and Giordano. Engelland was ****ing useless and if Hartley had tried this Schlemko-Brodie pairing earlier maybe we'd get some offense going but with Hartley being pinned in our zone for a whole game is A-OK.
As for blaming Backlund, the whole team was brutal.

Take a look at the replay and watch Backlund. He does absolutely nothing but stand 2 feet ahead of the crease. He even throws his head up in the air after the goal knowing he blew it.

except that Shore lost the puck and then lazily 'chased' his guy out of position. Backlund blew his assignment of covering Shore's screw up

He's been the team's worst forward for a long stretch now. He's hurting the team not helping them as he's ice cold offensively and defensively. Fans rag on Raymond but he hit a post and drew a penalty.

I'm firmly in the bring up Bennett camp now. The team needs a shot of something. There is very little positive happening after the first line.
All that being said, it is understood they match up worse against the Blues than any team in the league.
Collect the two against the oilers and all is back on track.
