Had lots of interest in both our goalies, but no offer that blew our minds. We've decided to run with Dubnyk, based on the season he's having now. Elliott is still having a great season in the NHL. His 2.18 GAA sits him 4th, behind Price, Dubnyk and Rinnee, and he has a 24-13-3 record with the Blues.

Disclaimer: He won't come cheap. We're looking for a decent back up as replacement, and any combination of picks, NHL ready players, and some studs to stock the prospect cupboard with. Very willing to stick with both for next season though if the offer we're looking for isn't there.

Zubrus - In discussion with 2 teams regarding Zubrus. Likely gone tonight.
Dwyer - No interest, surprised cheap 3rd liner who can be helpful next year too.
Paille - Similar story to Dwyer no interest.
Vanek - Couple teams have asked about him but nothing imminent.

New name:
Jason Demers - 2 mill per year, 64 overall right now, should see a healthy bump. Top 4 guy. Looking for a similar forward or a good prospect(s) in return.

Paille and Demers off to Tampa. Zubrus talks have stalled, him and Dwyer remain on the go block. Vanek extension talks have been started.

Carolina Hurricanes Deadline

Patrice Bergeron - Willing to move but unfortunately not looking for a even deal. Patriceis a game breaker and the top 2nd line center in the game today, his addition will shift the balance of power in the playoffs in your direction and the Hurricanes expect to be fully compensated for that. The Hurricanes are prepared to make you a strong team for your Cup run but expect to be made a stronger teaming the future because of it. It's a you win now I win later type deal or Bergerons ts out the playoffs and I explore hockey deals in the summer

Jiri Tlusty - Looking for a hockey deal but open to anything and not a player dump. Will add scoring to your team for the playoffs. Maybe you have a player that doesn't mesh well with your team... or maybe a prospect you think you can part with the strengthen you chances. Not looking to win or loose the deal, just an available player

Cody McCormick - Cheap low end 4th line player, signed long term but makes a good black ace type at the expense of very little cost

Jay Harrision, Luke Schenn, Ladislav Smid, Matt Bartkowski - Looking to package two of these guys up for a very slight improvement. None are UFA so we are talking a hockey deal butmore a depth for you and someone I like better but not really better overal type deal.

Joni Pitkanen -Can be added to any deal at a very low cost, Joni isn't viewed as an asset at all by me and is pretty much going to any team I seem to be getting a deal (in another trade) I like and hopefully helps them in the playoff run
