Other than one screwup in his first shift, he was also good defensively as well. He looked Brodie-ish for most of the game. He was the 1st star of the game.

If he's as great as it sounds(yes I realize this is beyond jumping the gun), hopefully he can wrestle that #4 Dman spot from Wideman next season and be paired with Russell. We could use the size and skating on the 2nd pairing, as well as Wideman's skill and headiness on the 3rd.

Just happy to have this guy on board. Was hoping to sign him since spring 2014 when I was tracking the Free agents last year.

nice to hear he had a good game also shows a lot of character that the kid chose calgary a team where he will have to earn his way up to the nhl as opposed to Edmonton where he probably was told he would be playing in the nhl to burn a year off his elc.
