All that is needed is Ferland in for Raymond and it looks good.

If that happens, I may actually start to believe that there's a conspiracy against the Flames. And I really am not a conspiracy theorist.

The Wild really should start thinking about resting Dubnyk a little bit given they have put them in a position that they only need to go .500 from now on in to make the playoffs. That said I don't care how hot he has been he's still Devan Dubnyk and the Flames have scored on him in the past and there's no excuse for not being able to score on him tonight.

They looked like they had heavy legs against the Stars so I hope they have more jump tonight as a loss in regulation means they can only lose two more games or they are out.

Byron update:

Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
Looks like G Karri Ramo is starting again. Good sign that C/LW Paul Byron is out there this AM, too.

Yesterday Treliving said Byron suffered a setback in his recovery, but is back on track now.

Are you making excuses for them losing already? Dubnyk isn't Patrick Roy. They may be hot but the Flames can still beat them but they are going to have to play a lot better than they played on the home stand.

Actually, if I were the Wild, I would play Dubnyk tonight and rest him against LA.

What's the most important thing right now? Making the playoffs.

Who's in 9th right now? The Flames.

Beat the Flames and they are 6pts up.

Just for reference: The Flames beat the Arizona Coyotes back in late November with Dubnyk in net 3-0. Dubnyk had a .897 Sv% in that game, and that's with him playing a pretty good game. I know it's Arizona, but it does show that the Flames have had success against him.

Also, Ramo had a shutout in that game. Repeating the past tonight?

I didn't say the Flames are losing. But give Dubnyk credit, he's playing lights out with 6 competent defenseman.

If you watch these vids before the team left yesterday (Brodie, Russell, Hartley) you get the sense that the team still has a quiet confidence and belief in themselves. They know what's at stake and there is no sense of panic - just a job to be done.
