@vgregorian: Marshall on solution to KU scheduling series: "I'd love to play them in the (NCAA) tournament every year.

Ooooof. Not holding back. Dis, any sense on how this game changes Self's refusal to schedule Wichita?
WVU is in the Sweet 16! Bob has done such a great job with this group. 17-16 last year and we lost >40% of our scoring from last year. Hope the national media gives him the credit he deserves this week for this year after a couple years of really rough results.
Second weekend!

I really don't see Self becoming any more open to playing Wichita State in Wichita, and that's what it boils down to.
Self doesn't want to risk losing in the largest city in the state. That's not good for recruiting.
Marshall did a fantastic job of getting these guys ready to play yesterday. They were fearless, poised and knew they were the better team. No small feat with the way the team has been playing in recent weeks.
Notre Dame will be tough.

Sorry to say DFF but Notre Dame is playing outstanding offensive basketball. Beautiful passing and movement, they look like the Spurs right now.

They were phenomenal. I hope Kentucky wins. I think that Notre Dame would give them a huge test.
Another great season for the Shocks. Nothing to hang their heads, over.

If ever there was a lesson learned from poking the bear, West Virginia learned it last night. WOW.
Can't wait for the Kentucky/Notre Dame game. I think Notre Dame might be the last team in the tournament that has a "favorable" match up with Kentucky. I think it will be a great game.

Might be tough to convince anyone that we had a great season after last night, but I'm really happy with this past year. Bob was a deserving B12 coach of the year.
I've heard that coaches think that Wisconsin has the best matchup against UK. Not sure they get past Arizona in Staples though.

Gonzaga with 11 turnovers to Duke's 2 with 9 minutes left in the game. Duke up by 6.

Gonzaga's 13 TO doesn't seem like too bad of a number for today's college game but both teams were so tired that they were really slowing the game down. 13 TO on 59 possessions is a pretty ugly TO% of 22%. That is bad.
Before the tournament if I were to pick 3 teams for UK to face in their last 3 games it would be ND, Wisconsin and Duke. What an amazing final few games this could be.

Barnes to Tennessee
Shaka to Texas looks likely
Shockers trying to keep Marshall away from Alabama. EDIT: and they do! I guess Richard Pitino is next?
Fun coaching carousel going on right now.

Wichita State nearly doubled Marshall's salary. $3.3 Million. I don't know where that puts him but I gotta believe he's right around the Top 10.
Fantastic job by the University of being proactive and especially of being aware of just how great this guy is and what he means to Shocker basketball.
Could have his best team next year......
The best part about this though, for me anyway, is reading all the stunned comments from Alabama fans and some of the talking heads who were just certain that not only would Marshall jump at the job (not sure it isn't a step-down in reality) but that Wichita State couldn't afford to pay him much more than the $1.85 M he made this year. It feels so good when the spoiled don't get what they want.

Well that terrible call that cost Wisconsin that 3 may end up being the game changer. And then the refs confirm it with a total non-call on a flagrant. Yuck.

Really tense final ten minutes but Wisconsin overcomes some bad calls to make it 38-1 for Kentucky. Might be the best look we'll ever get to see an undefeated season but nice to see Calipari go down.

And they still won!
Must suck to go 38-0 then lose to a bunch of white guys.

Kentucky fans decide to get their Canucks fan on.
And then Andrew Harrison decides to drop a "#### that n****" on Frank Kominski. I really do believe losing to the primarily white Wisconsin infuriates several Kentucky players more than saying losing to Duke would have pissed them off.

I mean you don't expect class from a Callipari coached team. Most of their guys walked off the floor without shaking hands too. Thank God they lost.
