On another note, I also see that the Canucks will be wearing their Vancouver Millionaires kits, in honour of recognizing a full hundred years of no Stanley Cups in Vancouver.

Why they chose to call attention to this, I am unsure.

I did think it was a bit unusual for the Flames to have a 5 game home stand and not catch any of those teams on the second night of a back to back. Especially since Philly, Columbus, Colorado, and Dallas are playing all 3 of the teams in Western Canada on their road trips.

I sure hope the Islanders don't let us down twice in a row. 0-0 in the first period vs LA.

Islanders currently playing the role of Washington Generals at the moment.

A bit surprised with Berra, simply because Varlamov was pulled in the first against the Oil last night.

Only caught about half of it, but Rangers versus Kings game was absolutely outstanding hockey.

LA is 14-5-2 on their last 21. I think Winnipeg is a better target

By now, I think it's obvious that it will be a battle of the Canadian teams, as to see which two qualify for the playoffs. I'm hoping the Canucks choke, but I'm not very optimistic. The last game of the season in Winnipeg between the Jets and Flames could very well determine who gets into the playoffs.

Of course not.

The Kings played really great hockey.

The Rangers scored a goal in the first minute then shut it down entirely figuring Talbot had it covered. They were terribly wrong.

The jets were playing well without buff, little and perreault. They are coming back at the right time. Vancouver can go to hell.

It's pretty obvious that it's the Flames dropping off. Winning only two of the 5 games on the home stand simply wasn't good enough and loser points aren't enough when your rivals are getting two points every game. It would be nice if they could stay in it long enough for the last weekend to mean anything but if they lose tomorrow night they will run the risk of falling more than a game behind with only seven games remaining which could be extremely difficult to make up given they are likely going to lose to the Blues.

2-1-2 is a 98 pt pace. That isn't dropping off. Maybe it isn't good enough, but it isn't dropping off.

The stupid thing is, LA has 14 of those loser points and its allowed them to stay in the race. Its not right that the Flames sit below them in the standings with 3 more wins.
