Thanks... But wasn't Adessa added after johnny was drafted?

I believe he was hired during the 2010-11 season by Feaster (which is why he wasn't in the 2010-11 Media Guide).

Thanks... Do you have more info? If so, great hire. I would love to hear more info about the back stories of drafting.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Not saying your wrong but this article says Button, Pulford and Sutter were the ones who were pushing for Johnny.

I thought Feaster had mentioned Addesa at the time, but I could be misremembering it. He was definitely the big supporter for Jooris because he had coached Jooris' dad back in college.

I find it funny how all of us thought this was a horrible signing, and Raymond's was fair.
Engelland had a fantastic game and honestly has earned every penny of his "overpaid" contract.
Can't say the same for Raymond.

I'm not a Raymond apologist and he has had some terrible games, but I completely disagree. He created the first flames goal because he skated several times around the Stars forcing a bad change that led to the Gaudreau goal. He also was the one who passed it to Engelland on the second goal after doing another lap. Lol
I thought both maligned players had a pretty decent game tonight. They just have to keep it up.

I liked the Engelland signing and hated the Raymond signing in July. Now I hate both.

Both did have pretty good games. Hopefully we get another hot streak from Raymond

I hope the Flames move on from Schlemko, Smid, and Diaz this summer and get a mobile Dman to play with Ebgellend on the third pair. He has stepped up huge with Gio out and looks much more comfortable with Brodie than Diaz (righty) or Smid (stay at home)

Engelland will always be overpaid but he's shown when paired with a solid, mobile defenseman he can become a dependable anchor. He's just one of those guys that needs to be paired to a defender better than himself to be effective.

Engelland looks so much better with Brodie. Part of it is how good Brodie is - but I think it also shows how bad Smid was. I really don't want Smid back on the ice next year - unless his injury was the main reason he played so poorly.
