Shaw just missed a wide open net from the slot. Toews had his hands in the air which quickly morphed from a celebration to a gesture of "NOO WTF ARE YOU DOING"

3-0 Oilers before halfway into the first. Avs are atrocious. In comes our friend Berra

Wow as someone who doesn't pay attention I can't believe Hall only has 12 goals and 30 odd points. Freaking terrible, no wonder they suck.

I have to laugh at the Colorado-Edmonton pregame link on NHL.com. Check it out as there is not much written. The same two teams meet in five days and so much for the Avalanche going 9-0-0 to end the season, they are already losing 3-0!

So, the Flames just destroyed Colorado's will to play?

Iggy will probably score a hat trick and the Oilers will still find a way to lose.

Ugh, they still have a game against the Kings and another against the Jets and another against the Canucks. And they just pulled Varlamov for Reto Berra.

In other news, I'd say the Flames have effectively ended three seasons so far:

@New Jersey
@Philly
Colorado

Up next:
Dallas
LA or Winnipeg?

I'm watching the Philly vs Chicago game. The Hawks look horrible, they will really need to flip a switch for the playoffs. They are lucky they most likely play the Preds in the first round.

Also, I agree the Flames beating the Lanche seems to have destroyed their motivation. It is the Oilers though so I wouldn't be surprised if they blow the lead.

Maybe a totally sh$%-kicking by the oilers tonight will give them a boost to destroy Vancouver tomorrow?

They just need to lose to the oilers so they know they have reached rock bottom. No where but up from there.

I love this. Pressure is off due to another failed season. So now the Oilers get hot, management and the fans will eat it up and say just wait until next year cause this is the real Oiler team. Minimal changes will be made and when the pressure of a new season and the pressure of a chance to have a successful season is upon them these mental midgets will crumble like they always do!

The Blackhawks could easily be playing the Blues in the first round or even the Ducks.

The Hawks could theoretically finish anywhere from 1st to 5th in their division but at the moment it looks very likely they finish 3rd. I also think St Louis will end up ahead of Nashville by the end of the season.
