Kings play the Oil twice. Those points are as good as earned today.
98 points mean the Kings only need 4-3 record in the rest of their games. Seems pretty likely to me

I want canadian teams in so I'm picking LA. But realistically it is tough to see them going home with the run that they are on now. We still control our fate, especially with Jets and LA at home in last couple of games.

All three Jets, Kings, Canucks. You just want one of them to falter over the last 9 and hope the flames pick up 11-12 points themselves.

We have the same freebies, 1 game vs Coyotes and 1 vs Oilers.

I don't think we can go blow for blow with LA in "win now" mode so Jets.

I think LA will pass us tonight. Just a hunch.

L.A.

I would rather face the Canucks in the playoffs than Anaheim or Nashville.

Was just saying 98 points are very likely for the Kings now.

Oil will do everything they can to knock Flames out. Not saying that matters, but that is a dangerous game for Calgary, imo.

I think the Oilers may not be a freebie as they may pull out all the stops as that game will be their Stanley Cup. I recall an eliminated Flames team bringing their A game to eliminate the Oilers from playoff contention a few years back.

I can't believe I couldn't even count on the Rangers to take out the Kings.

The only target the Flames can set is to keep winning and hope it is enough. It is going to come down to the wire.

We control our own destiny by facing the Jets in the final game of the season.

Unless something goes horribly wrong between now and then I have a strong gut feeling it's going to come down to the wire, and that game might decide it.

Gut feeling gonna come down to last and final game of season. Flames vs jets, whoever wins has a ticket to the playoffs. What a way to end the year.

Honestly I was gonna pick The Kings but I just have no idea how we keep ahead of them. I almost think it might be easier to catch the Canucks at this point but even that seems impossible.

I feel like a schizophrenic trying to answer this question.

Just target 97 pts and they should be in. It used to be 95 or 96, but i think 97 is now required.

I think we play enough to stay in the race until we play the Kings and Jets at the end of the season, one of the three of our teams will make it. Those two games will decide our fate. I believe if we beat both those teams we will make it in. I still think the Kings are out, I think the Jets will hold on.

I have a bad feeling the Flames will hold the NHL record for most regular season points without making the playoffs.

Amazing how things change on a dime.

Yesterday was LA, today it's the Jets for me. The magnitude of tonight's game is alarmingly high when you consider there are 9 games left.

For me, the Canucks and the 2nd Pacific seed are the target/goal.
Beating out the Jets for a wildcard spot is a fallback strategy.

For me it is the Canucks. Flames should be looking ahead in the standings rather than below them IMO.
