I wouldn't be upset if the Canucks totally collapsed over their final 10 games.
In fact, that would quite please me.

Wow, really good save by Hutchinson.

Fair enough, sorry for taking it as a direct comment. I think my problem my problem with the loser point is that not every game is worth an equal amount of points. I don't understand how if the game is longer than 60 minutes suddenly its worth 50% more points. I'm curious what the 3-2-1 system would do to the standings this year so I might put something together tonight and post the results

Right now I would take anyone just to lose a game in regulation. It's getting borderline ridiculous. When's the last time a team lost in the race? As has been said at this pace any team that drops two in a row is probably done.

Really really fighting hard not to give other fans some "Around The League Report" fodder... but it's getting really hard.
That's what she said.

The pace some of these bottom seeding teams are playing at in the west right now is mind blowing.
I'm not even mad, I'm more impressed. I really don't think any of CGY, MIN, VAN, WPG, LA or even DAL are going to go away until the last day. Incredible.
Also, huge props to Ottawa in the East, that's some kind of run they're on too.

Is 96 points really going to be enough anymore?

Probably us, when the Blues decided they were going to play us perfectly and flawlessly like they're playing for the Stanley Cup and then go **** the bed the next 3 games.

Every time I watch the Canucks they look terrible. I can't figure out how they're where they are in the standings.

Yup, the Kings vs Flames game and the Jets vs. Flames game will be the all in show your cards finale that older folks will need to prep their heart meds in advance for and the youngins' are going to have to prep their livers for the absurd amount of booze hey're bound to consume.

So many of these teams were screwed over early-season. Only Winnipeg has no real circumstances to point to, other than taking a bajillion penalties that they've stopped taking.
- Us without Backlund and so we didn't have our top line together, so we had that 8 game L streak.
- Minnesota with their atrocious goaltending before Dubnyk showed up.
- LA with Voynov and then Mike Richards being out of shape
- Vancouver, man I don't know what to make of them. They've persevered through injuries all year.
But only we get screwed over end-season with Gio going down. We can still do this but I'm not going to say any of these teams are truly better than us when healthy. But I will concede that all these teams are probably better than Anaheim, maybe even Nashville / Chicago-sans-Kane.
I can't see the East winner beating the West in the cup final.

For how tall he is... Myers uses a pretty short stick. No doubt it helps with his puck control. That trade is looking better and better for the jets.

That's it. I'm going to start betting on the OOT for real. It's the only way.

Didn't the Jets have their own issues with the whole Kane fiasco. Then they lost two games that should have gone to OT. So they've had their own as well.
