You know your team is in a playoff battle when so many teams infuriate you for not cooperating. Useless Rangers and Islanders. And their game doesn't matter tonight, but it ticks me off that the Blues have sucked since they beat Calgary.
Imo, it makes sense to hope for a Jets regulation win tonight. I think it will come down to the division for the Flames and not the wild card.

Think of how legendary beating LA in that game would become though... King Slayer.

Just checked the OOT for the first time tonight. Are you freakin' kidding me, Rangers? The Flames just can't catch a break. So damn frustrating. I was hoping this road trip would help sink the Kings' playoff hopes, but they've obviously switched into "Kings" mode now. Bummer.

Shootouts maybe but if you think 4 on 4 is coin flip then how exactly does an extra player on both sides make it an actual game?

4 on 4 is not a gimmick considering it happens all the time in hockey
besides all I said is points for losing goes against everything sports are about

It's just as arbitrary to be awarded 2 points for a S/O win as it is to get the "loser point" when you lose. If we were bad at the gimmick side show, we wouldn't even be in this race. Calgary has benefited as much or more than anyone thanks to the NHL's abortion of a point system. Stop whining about it or we're going to piss off the hockey gods and go 0-0-9 to end the season.

Minny/NYI in shootout. Parise hits the post, comes back off the post and hits Halak, and promptly trickles into the back of the net.

Halak putting it into his own net for the game winner is the eptitomy of the OOT this season.

It didn't bounce in, the idiot pushed it into his own net. If he would not have tried to grab it the puck would have sat on the line.

Well, the good news is if the Flames can manage to win 100% of their remaining games, they will be in the playoffs.
