HAH! All you can do is laugh at this point. Fully expect a 3 point game in the WPG-VAN game.

Wow I think the Flames have an easier time handling the Kings than the Rags do. They look bad.

What an embarrassing performance by the Rangers. They never even showed up to play tonight.

I think beating a team like LA has a lot to do with having a solid game plan and executing it on every shift, when you only play a team twice a year I bet less work goes into the game plan and there's less buy in from the players

I don't get all this Ranger babble - they are one of the best teams in the league because they are a damn good team. Yeah they are getting it handed to them tonight by LA, and it sucks to watch as a Flames fan. But they just destroyed the Ducks on Sunday, one of the best teams in the league this year, and Stanley Cup finalists last year. Every team has an off night, it just so happens to be every night for every team that could help the Flames out a little :/

I won't mind a Minny loss, but the only game I'll be watching is the Rangers win.
Your karma is failing!

So how many points do the Flames need assuming all the other bubble teams win out or gain a loser point when playing other bubble teams? That seems to be the way the remaining OOTs are going to play out.

if LA runs the table Calgary needs to run the table to beat them

Islanders and Wild are just gonna lock it down and ensure points for all...points for losing is stupid. Goes against everything sports are about

I agree, but CGY has a boatload of gimmick points themselves.

If by boatload you mean second least in the NHL then yes

But I should note that if some of our comebacks hadn't gone all the way we would probably double what we have right now, we've won a lot of games in extra time

No - points for winning shootouts and 4 on 4. Gimmicks.

We really need LA to lose one eventually so that we don't HAVE to beat them in the second last game of the year

Key word - winning. This discussion involves points for losing.

Whether the 4 on 4 OT and SO's are stupid gimmicks is another discussion entirely.
