If the Canucks lose tonight they'll be 2 points ahead of us, tied in games played, with 2 more ROW and us having won the season series.
If the Jets lose tonight they will be 2 points ahead of us with 1 more GP, and 5 less ROW.
Considering that we hold the tiebreakers, have a game in hand and play the Jets head-to-head, it's actually quite possible to catch the Jets even if they win tonight.

I just can't cheer for the Canucks. We'll take care of our own business and get into the playoffs without the help. Go jets!

The poll should have an option for 'Top Winnipeg player cross checks Burrows in the face and gets a hefty suspension.'
I'd vote for that.

I'd like to see several players for each team suspended for flagrant diving.
but i dislike the Canucks. Go Jets.

Jets. And it starts the downward spiral of the Canucks battling for wildcard.

I voted Jets because I don't want to "catch: the Jets. They will get the last playoff spot as a wildcard and I would rather get 2nd or 3rd in the Pacific. I think that's our ticket in. Flames keep winning, Nucks do enough to beat the Kings and we grab 2nd in the Pacific. That's my hope.

So you've flipped? Up until now you've been saying Winnipeg is the team the Flames need to target to make the playoffs. What changed?

There is a very good chance we are having this debate again on April 4th when the Canucks play in Winnipeg. LOL!
And that night, we may just be cheering for whomever wins tonight's contest!

Not even close.
I believe it was 22 or 23 of their 41 home games

Want Winnipeg to win...
a) if Van loses, then the Flames are only 2 points back (this uses up their game in hand)
b) gives us the opportunity to fight for home ice
c) Wpg has a harder schedule the rest of the way
d) that being said, Wpg has been beating the tough teams recently, so may not be catchable. Let's catch the nucks...
e) lastly, this way I don't have to cheer for vancouver

Jets. Because I want to go to a home playoff game in the MTS Centre and be a part of the WhiteOut 2.0.

Personally, I love the whiteout. It's the greatest copycat tribute to the C of Red ever conceived.

Seriously I hope that Van misses altogether, and Wpg Cgy LA make it.
Second best scenario in the unlikely event that the above does not happen, I hope LA loses out. Would also like to see the whiteout, in addition to the C of Red.

I've felt the same way about the C of Red being a wonderful tribute to the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Kansas City Chiefs sea of red

Our best chance at making the playoffs is by finishing 2nd or 3rd in the Pacific. We need both the Nucks and the Kings to lose down the stretch.

Was the C of Red before the whiteout thing that the Jets/Yotes do?
I can't remember.

It would be better to start the playoffs on the road in Vancouver.

I look at it this way: If the Flames don't make the playoffs (god forbid), who do I want to be there? For me I'd rather see the Jets in the playoffs than the Canucks. That being said, I have confidence in our group and think we can catch both teams.
