Parking shouldn't be a problem in the burbs at all.

On 2 car attached streets with 35ft frontage you have 2 spots in the garage and 2 spots on the driveway and .5 spots on the street. Anyone who needs more than 4 spots on a regular basis should by a larger lot with a 3 car garage. If your truck doesn't fit in your garage or on your drive way you should have bought a house that can accommodate it.

This leaves the .5 parking spots for visitors.

For the lane homes again you have 2 spots in the back and 2 on the street out front so you lose the half visitor spot.

The real problem is people having crap in their garages or too many vehicles.

Is that a trick question?

If you routinely park in front of your neighbour's house, you are taking up more than your fair share of the road.

I'm guessing there are a lot fewer people in Ottawa that insist on driving ####-off huge trucks so they can never use them to haul anything ever except maybe a big box from Ikea that one time.

Travelling to Toronto this summer I saw 1 F150 in a week. No wonder they think it's weird that we drive them here. Yuppies.

I bet the sales of aftermarket & blinding HID headlights is way higher here than TO as well. Its the must have accessory for F-150s
