Dallas loses tonight, and they're pretty much toast. Hope they lose to the Sabres, lose motivation to play, and roll over for the Flames this week.

Tanguay is not just having a decent year, he's carrying on a an amazing career. 1007GP and 819Pts. He plays a smart game that doesn't rely on being overly big, like Huds, and I'm not sure if 6'1" 190lbs is small...
But yeah. He's five years older than Jones. I'm not sure that should matter when every year Alex gets more points than Jones in spite of the age difference.
We had to buy out O'Brien and have serious depth issues on D. Hard to see a core Flame move (Sarich) for waiver wire trash like that.
Bad trade.
|
But Tanguay didn't want to be here.

All it takes is switching channels to the Oilers game to realize how good we've got it.
Edmonton is no good.

Cripes.

Sure, the culture change was positive, but we got duped in terms of value. I'm all for addition by subtraction, and in hindsight, it seems the culture change had serious value of its own. That still doesn't make it a good asset for asset trade.

Don't worry its great weather for golfing in San Jose.
After a loss tonight the Sharks would need to go 9-0-0 to get 96 points (Magic number)
Also I like Hammond a lot and its a feel good story the Sens have with him. I hope they make it.

I was referring to O'Brien, I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. I was trying to tie back in how I disliked the trade as a whole.

Come on Eric Francis. Yeah Iggy didn't do regular duties on the PP point in Cgy but he certainly spent a good number of shifts there during his tenure with different coaches.

there is more to hockey than points...Tanguay would be pouting if he was taken off the PP or put on the 3rd line. Jones is a better fit for the team right now. Tanguay didn't want to be part of a rebuild so I hope he enjoys 10th place with the Avs and getting his ice time

Patrick Roy looks like a crazy person. I guess it's fitting, since he's crazy.

But get value for the trade. Pouts or no pouts.

It's hard to play the point on the PP when you're also taking the bulk of PP faceoffs...

I change my mind every week, but I like Ramo's style better. He plays the posts much better in my opinion. Hiller just looks awkward sometimes, maybe it's the skinny pads and the plain black mask. Or maybe it's his paycheque..
