So that was a sudden goal. No complaining though.

If you think tangs would work on this iteration of the Flames you were not paying attention to his last tenure in town

I predicted SJ would miss the playoffs at the beginning of the year. It is coming true. Sens now up 4-2! That's one less team to follow if the score holds up.

Trade looks pretty great for me at this point.

Tanguay would have never provided what Jones has for the character of the team.

Jones has been huge for Calgary this year in terms of setting a tempo. in my opinion he is a s big a part of the teams intensity as Bouma, he just does it a different way.

I'd describe him as a player who produces less but brings it more. Invaluable.

When it comes down to Ramo vs. Hiller, I still lean towards Hiller . Ramo's been stable-ish in his string of starts but it's been like this all year between the two. I just feel like Hiller is the more stable option heading into next season when Ortio gets a spot on the big team.

The guy does have some of the straightest teeth I've ever seen. He kind of looks like a squirrelly Ryan Reynolds.

Yup better to hang on to a guy that was sulking because he didn't want to be here.

They've been in my prehipheral's as one should never count out the talent on that team. Seems the ship has sailed for them now. I'm good with that.

Ramo makes miraculous saves but he is more susceptible to the "bad bounce" because he is all over the place. Look at that first goal he is flopping all over the place and when the puck bounces out to Taguay he has a wide open net

even if they won the last couple when you look at the record it would take them to get to 95-97 points they have been done for a while

Jones is no iron man either. Tanguay has 69GP this year. Jones has 58.

Tanguay is not just having a decent year, he's carrying on a an amazing career. 1007GP and 819Pts. He plays a smart game that doesn't rely on being overly big, like Huds, and I'm not sure if 6'1" 190lbs is small...

But yeah. He's five years older than Jones. I'm not sure that should matter when every year Alex gets more points than Jones in spite of the age difference.

We had to buy out O'Brien and have serious depth issues on D. Hard to see a core Flame move (Sarich) for waiver wire trash like that.

Bad trade.
