It's probably dumb to question Hartley at this point, but this still seems odd.

Are you a big e.e. cummings fan?
Hartley probably thinks sticking up is not an issue for this game, and that speed is needed to expoit the Avs defence, which is not the greatest.

You guys don't know the exact situation. Maybe Ferland has a bump or bruise but not enough to be considered injured, and Jooris has looked good in practice.
Maybe the coach has a feeling about Jooris getting out of the scoring slump.
Maybe Ferland slept in and was late for practice?

Hopefully last change means we get some better matchups against Colorado's top six.
A goal or two from the third and fourth line would really be helpful -- will be interesting to see where Jooris slots in.

I heard Michael Ferland wore a track suit to practice and someone threw him in the shower.

Roger Millions @RogMillions
#Flames Prob Lines -
Gaudreau Monahan Hudler -
Colborne Granlund Jooris-
Raymond Stajan Bollig -
Bouma Backlund Jones
Roger Millions @RogMillions
@RogMillions whoops looks like they're switch Backlund and Granlund at centre. Perhaps Hartley just tinkering.
Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
#Flames projected lines vs #Avalanche:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Colborne-Backlund-Jooris
Bouma-Granlund-Jones

Raymond on the 4th line at least.
Agree with the sentiments above, would love for Ferly to slot in for Raymond, might take away a bit of speed but adds a ton more toughness and size.

^ likey. Jooris hopefully can spark Colborne. Raymond getting a warning that he is going to get scratched if he doesn't step it up.

I think its a good move to bring Jooris back in. Much like Byron, he brings energy and can be a catalyst. I'd like to see Shore back in as well. The bottom six needs an injection of energy.

This exactly. The Flames have had the second best goalie in almost every game for the last while. If they are going to make the playoffs, they are simply going to have to get better goaltending.
Time for Ramo and Hiller to step up.

I believe Shore has a minor injury, he's not just a healthy scratch.

Not digging the lines at all. Why change up that 4th when they have been playing some very good hockey lately? They forechecked hard and kept the pucj down low while generating scoring chances. What more do you want from a 4th line?

Ferland Stajan & Bollig played really well against Columbus. They just couldn't pot a goal.
Its a shame because Ferland was a great finisher in the pre-season.
We need some secondary scoring big time.
I agree that Raymond should be the one sitting.
