Like I said, I'm going to blame it on that play. You can blame it on whatever you want.

How that play earlier where he stopped a sure goal...wide open net and drops his leg to make a save no other d-man would have made. Of course you make no mention of that play.

I realize that, but it wasn't bone-headed. He absolutely tried to make the correct play, which I have seen over and over without incident. I agree with your take that the Flames thought they were better than their opponents, though. I bet Hartley reads the riot act.

Russell? I forgive you! Ramo? Looked shaky all game. I prefer Ramo over Hiller but........not by much!
Boys its crunch time, we are not gonna slide into the playoffs. Need to win, that one point extra point would of been huge for us.

He still took one of his patented bonehead late penalties. He wasn't that great but just happened to be in the right place to capitalize on a couple turnovers. You can't win with player like him which is why his career is nearing the end.

Whole team made mental mistakes and didn't look themselves in the third. Lack of secondary scoring is becoming an issue, and the points from the back end are drying up at bad time as well. Regroup, shake up the lines and refocus on the next game is all they can do

yeah, kind of sucks, the last week it seems like all the teams we play that have a good game, follow up with having a crappy game against our playoff competition. WTF guys? St Louis stuffs our defense and plays a solid game against us then lets in 6 against Minnisota, on top of blowing a lead against Winnipeg.
sucks

Cool. So if you blame him for the lost point here... you can thank him for the 2 points in Boston: http://www.tsn.ca/flames-russell-hos...party-1.223904
Seems like he's ahead to me...

Agreed...and the blaming of officiating on here has hit levels never seen before.
Yes there were a couple questionable things today, but for the most part the referees let the players play...not sure whats wrong with that and should be what every single game comes down to.

It's the second year of a rebuild its all part of the learning process. Step back take a deep breath and look at the big picture. Every guy on that team wants to win.

Remember that block Russell made that was about to go earlier in the game? I guess not, Russell is a great player and we wouldn't be where we are in the standings without him.

Should also be mentioned that the kind of experience our guys are getting in this playoff race is very valuable. Whatever happens, I'd much rather our guys go through this, rather then play out meaningless games...Cough "Oilers" Cough

I'd be madder if this wasn't a rebuilding team with a salary cap total hovering at the cap floor. (Actually it's waaaay below, and has been pretty much all season with all the injuries we've had)
Some of you need to take a break and get a proper perspective of what's really going on here.

Some people seriously need to back away from the ledge. We got a point, should have probably got 2 but that's how it goes sometimes.
Flames can reload and come back for the next one. We control our destiny, and are still in ok shape.

Rene Bourque has 14 points this season
9 of those are against Canadian teams
5 of those are against Calgary.

A good play is the expectation. A bad play happens. A monumental screw up like that for an NHL player? Not okay.

Get a grip. Bad plays like that happen all the time. This one just ended up in the back of the net

Kings (so far today) have take a huge 16.3% hit on their playoff chances. Flames 1.9% hit. Just trying to add some perspective.
