Spoiler!

Cosmicar Pinhole TV Lens - $100
F1:3.4 f=9mm
I have no idea what the heck this thing even is, but Ebay has them priced high.
I haven't gone through all the stuff I bought, but do not think there's a cord with this.
Spoiler!

If you want more info or pics of any of the items, please let me know.
I also have quite a bit of home video surveillance equipment (Swann, Unidex, Lorex) but don't have the time yet to see if there's actually a complete set somewhere. Also have quite a few more items (a Kenwood Sub, a PS3, an laptop, and shwackloads of used computer repair stuff and parts) that I have to go through and I'll update this when I do.

How does one go about getting a storage locker?

Is it anything like the show:

Not like the TV show this time. I purchased it online, without ever seeing it in person.
I had this photo to go by, and bid on it. A lot of it went straight to the trash. I threw a bunch of clothing in a donation bin, keeping 1 nor 2 items, and selling the rest.

Spoiler!

Neat way to do it, but Im sure the good stuff would be picked over by the cameraman or the company that owns the locker.

Very cool man,

Me and my wife have been thinking of doing this to make a few extra $

Question for you, do you tend to make your money back on these? or have you been burned ?

I constantly wonder about that too. Especially for the first few I bought that ended up being total duds. I've found cash in a bag once, so they didn't go through it thoroughly, if they did. But I do always wonder about that.

Half and half. I've found a few things that, rather than sell, I just kept for myself. I've bought a few duds where there was absolutely nothing of value too. I would not suggest internet bidding, and instead would do the in person TV show version of bidding so you can actually see the lock being cut, and take a decent look inside without guessing on the contents from looking at a screen shot.

Where do they do the in person bidding?

Any advice?

And also how much do these lockers sell for? I have heard stories as low as 20 and well over 1k..

Is there a trash on the premises? Or do you have to drag big pieces to a dump yourself?

Wow

A spotter scope, a pin hole camera and a mini dvd screen.

Anyone else wondering who the former owner was?

You can't use the trash on site. So, unless there's something obviously awesome, I don't bid on lockers with large items.

I almost quit after my very first locker. They took of a corner of the locker where a bunch of plausibly good items were. When I went, I saw that in the other corner, there was a queen sized mattress that I was not prepared for at all. Was pretty pissed and that cost me a dump run, but I haven't run into any horrible luck like that since.

I also have, but not listed yet, about 8 security video cameras. Some with receiver boxes and monitors, and some binoculars too. Makes me wonder the same thing.

No, but there's at least a dozen used hard drives that I need to creep through whenever I get a chance.

I went to a couple back when the show debuted. There were about 500 people bidding on a few junk lockers.

Edit: Hmm, those are all online now from the looks of it.

C'mon, quit playing coy CC.

You could probably get your pinhole camera an hard drives back from JonDuke, for less than the back rent you accumulated on your surveillance locker.
