Not in the OP. Many in the thread as a whole.

The question is not ‘Are the Calgary Flames as good as the Chicago Blackhawks TODAY’, which is obviously not th case. The question is ‘Are they THE NEXT Chicago Blackhawks’, which clearly refers to the future. It is therefore proper to compare the Flames, who are still rebuilding and have not won anything yet, with the Blackhawks in the days when they were still rebuilding and had not won anything yet, and see if the same kind of potential appears to be there. Hence all the mentions of '07-08 that you seem to have overlooked.

We obviously don't have a Hossa. But he was added by UFA signing. When the Flames kids have all developed to the point the Flames are a cup contender, yeah, add a Hossa or Perry or Gaborik to push them over the top.
