- I can't wait to see Morgan come back (if he does). It'd be such a shame to see them waste such a great actor (I loved Lennie James' character in Jericho). Plus, I think the producers owe the fans another black male character since they keep killing off the previous guys (although it wouldn't bother me if they killed off Gabriel).
- I hadn't heard about the Wolves until this thread. Until I heard about this gang, I assumed it had something to do with Alexandria. I thought those who were inscribed with the "W" had betrayed the town or broken the rules in some way so they were "withdrawn."
- I really hope Carl's interest in Enid doesn't go any further. It made me squirm watching Homeland when Brodie's daughter had that sex scene. It's unnecessary and makes people uncomfortable.
- I've become so desensitized to violence in shows, but that Noah scene had me shook. The only other time I felt like that was after Jessie's girlfriend on Breaking Bad died choking on her own vomit while Walt watched. Those two scenes will stick in my head for a long while. Those were tough to watch.
- Carol's been my favourite character for a while now and she keeps getting better IMO.

This was posted sometime back, and I seem to recall the comic book that Carl finds in the attic of his house is sometype of Battle of the Wolves or some such title.

I really think that the thing that actually makes Noah's scene hard to watch isn't even the violence - it's mostly Glen's reaction to it. Aiden's death was about as gruesome but was just another "guy killed by zombies on zombie show". Interesting that gratuitous violence on TV shows is such that we need to be shown someone feeling horrified to know we're supposed to feel horrified.

The one(s) that really got me was the very start of the season premiere when they were knocking people out then slashing their throats over a vat. Was just so visceral and violent, and human-on-human. All the other human violence was shooting or punching -- something so grotesque being done by people to other people, and them acting like it was just another every day thing, really stuck with me. I was shaking at the end of that scene, needed the commercial break to compose myself.

Yeah, I think it was sad for the character of Glen because I think this will be the thing that finally breaks him. Up until this point, he has kept his humanity and was probably the most diplomatic and altruistic member of the leadership. After seeing that, I think he becomes as broken as Rick and maybe as aloof as Darryl.
The violence and gore of Noah's death didn't phase me really, but it just seemed like a waste because basically everything at happened at the hospital earlier in the season is pretty much moot now.

I understand that.
And I stopped by and said The Walking Dead is the greatest show on television, I expect 3 people would have liked it - defense of the position not required.
Anyway, I'll stop now.

really, i'm the only person here who closes their eyes to such gruesome violence? I only saw the first 2 seconds of noah's death, don't know how it played out. Don't know if it really matters, i got the gist of it without having to view it in its full nastiness.
Any violence scene that shows the act or guts for more than a fraction of the second i'm already looking away

The only part of the show that disturbed me was them eating the human flesh (Bob's leg).

I'm not going to pick a fight. I'm just gonna say that I contribute pretty regularly to this thread. It's not always meaningful, but sometimes it is, and is usually in line with the conversation. So to call my post a drive-by, by definition, is wrong.

Breaking bad had it's fair share of f-bombs. They did have nudity, but yes you have a point that AMC may have censored the boobs.

Sorry if this has been talked about already. But I noticed the last few episodes had a lot more swears then pretty much the whole series put together.

^^ Heh... glad to see that I wasn't the only one that went looking for Lauren Cohan on Google after he said that. She is a very beautiful woman.
