What if we need it for Ortio?

If we need a second goalie Ortio would be recalled as an emergency recall, wouldn't count to the 4 regular recalls. Even so, Ortio is injured himself still

Unless there is an injury I highly doubt Wotherspoon would get a game. He has been recalled before and not played. I can't see them throwing him in there with playoffs on the line.

I'd be worried if the Flames didn't save the last call up for Witherspoon. Id hope that Potter is the very last option in the final 12 games of the year if an injury occurred to one of the top 4.

Ortio could conceivably be ready to go in two weeks if the original prognosis holds (best case scenario).

I'm thinking this callup is because Stajan is banged up from the Reaves hit. Hopefully we'll find out tomorrow whether this is the case or not.

I don't see why they want to carry two extra forwards, especially when these rookies don't get to play. One forward should be fine and it puts less strain on the AHL team. If they're really desperate, McGrattan's in town.

Please, please do not stuff any more kids in the press box Bob. Bollig would look great up there though.

lol. What a season for the guy.
They should start calling him Grover, for all the times he's had to go "near" and "far" this season.

You only get four call-ups. You aren't going to waste one on a guy who can't play a regular shift.

bollig had a terrific fight against reaves who is a total monster, right in front of his bench, just last game. it was a pretty gutsy performance and he may not be the most skilled player on the team, but he's a gamer and i think his team knows that.
in the end he's one of the guys that may draw the short straw and have to sit on any given night, but i think he's a guy that's appreciated by the players a lot more than by us uber-fans.

I think Bolig has played some of his best hockey of the season of late, more jump in his step. And grabbing Reaves after the Stajan hit is just the kind of thing that can galvanize a hockey team.

In case someone gets hurt going down the stretch, we have guys who have been practicing with the team ready to go. Seems pretty self-explanatory tbh.

Just seals the Adi Flames playoff fate..Too many players up here and nothing left on the farm..Oh well hopefully it helps with development. Once the Adi Flames are eliminated then there will be lots of players here..

We are a single point out of a playoff spot and 2nd in the Pacific with 2 games in hand on Hamilton.

I wouldn't start calling this a done deal yet.

We also have Wolf and Hathaway almost single handily carrying the team down there. So this is far from over.

Think this is the game where we see Granlund shine. I'm betting a goal and an assist tonight for him.

You'd only have reason to put him in the line up on an emergency call up which doesn't count.

Granlund being the 3rd call-up was almost a given at this point. The last one will likely be held in case someone else gets hurt or will be defenseman.

The best part was that Engelland was not far behind, you can see him in the replay. Had Bollig hesitated for even a second, Reaves was dancing with Engelland.
