"Red Mile" & "C of Red" were awesome during the 04 run, but were promptly bast4rdized by the Flames & other entities to the point where it was no longer an organic development among fans, but rather a corporate push. Losing that authenticity just means something new will have to come to be during the next run.

My 2004 memory was tearing my ankle while running down 17th Avenue hill (just west of 14th St) so I could check out the boobi...er, join in the fun. I ended up needing surgery on it.
Totally worth it.

'04 run
The 2004 run was unforgettable, i am from the Toronto area and have a good friend who is also a die hard Flames fan. He and I flew out to Calgary for game 4 against the Canucks and went to the game. We went to a bar before the game and there was an old car parked out front with "Bertuzzi beats his kids" spray painted on it, they were encouraging people to jump on the roof and hood of the car.....pretty funny. We were in Calgary for the game and flew home the next day. It was my first time seeing the Flames play a home game live and was unbelievable.
Like most i have nothing but fond memories of that run, so many huge games and there is absolutely nothing better than watching your team play meaningful hockey games. Really hoping for playoffs this year and pulling out the old car flag!
Playoffs would be great for this team and it's young players to gain some experience.
Go Flames Go!

Some dickhead ripped my flag off my car yesterday during the day at a pub I was at. Didn't see till I was going to go to my car to go home. Must've been some loser Oiler/Canuck/Toronto fan. Pissed.
